I received this in time to cut some grapefruit. Iused another knife to cut the grapefruit in half and cut away the outer skin. I then started using this new serrated-edge curved knife to remove the fruit from the sections. It was sharp and separated the fruit from the inedible white skins and sections. It went quickly and easily. The curved section was just right. These were large grapefruits, almost one pound each. I was able toget a maximum amount of fruit andsaved most of the juice. It worked out great as I hoped it would, and I definitely recommend it to others.

The knife is very sharp and cuts easily through the membranes as I am sectioning the grapefruit. I would prefer a knife with a wooden or composition handle, such as those grapefruit knives I have always used previously; this knife is not terribly comfortable in the hand. It is also a bit too pointed in shape; a bit more rounding at the tip would make it easier to section the fruit neatly, without cutting into the rind, as this one does. Overall, it is satisfactory, but not great.
