Great item good strong quality

My two grandsons love these, installed side by side in their play house they enjoy racing against each other.

Good quality generally although the middle of the streering wheel plastic bit falls out which is a bit sad.

They have a great reputation for making traditional toys and games for indoor and outdoor play. This steering wheel toy is made from plastic, so is durable for use outside. Supplied with a bolt and cover, this wheel can be attached to climbing frames, playhouses and fences for play possibilities. As a Nursery Practitioner, I originally ordered this thinking it would be used for loose part role play - I work in a 2 - 3 year room, and one of our children regularly take round objects such as plates to a small step, where they sit and pretend to drive a car. They often sing a song about car driving while doing this, and it is so lovely to see them enjoying this imaginary play that I leapt at the chance to order this wheel. Having arrived, I am now pondering using this as a permanent fixture in our roof garden play area - I am hoping to persuade my partner to make me a pallet "car" with this steering wheel attached - I shall consult with my colleagues and decide. Used either way, loose or fixed, this will really enrich transport role play in our nursery setting, and would make a great addition to any child's play garden. Very good value at just £6.99, I cannot wait to share this with the children I care for.

Comes in a plastic bag, you get the play steering wheel, screw, washer and cap cover. Dark green in colour and made of a strong and durable plastic. It's of a really food size 26.5cm in diameter. No rough sharp edges or areas anywhere, which is really important when small hands will be touching and grabbing it all over. Easy and simple to install, you do need to drill a large-ish hole as the screw is quite wide. Perfect to add to a playhouse or climbing frame, we added it to the side of our wooden swing set as an extra activity for our son to do and play with. Sits securely to the wooden frame, with the wheel being able to spin and move freely. Well made and of good quality, it definitely feels built to last.
