70 years ago my company (Color Fast) specialized in refinishing Kitchen Cabinets and our product of choice for removal of paint & varnish was Stryp Eze. Today that product , nor any other of it's ilk is not the same since they removed the good stuff to be environmentaly safe. Have tried numerous of the current brands and have waited the 24 hr removal times they say is necessary. And you still have to re-coat to complete the job. But along came this product which I decided to try and I was amazed at it's ability to remove the varnish on our dining room table that I am now refinishing. You can brush on this clear liguid solvent or use a brush or spreader that comes with the unit. I spread on the liquid and waited 3 hrs and lifted the varnish down to the wood. Cleaned up with mineral spirits & steel wool . Stained it and top coated with tongue (Tung) oil. Beautiful

I refinish furniture as a hobby. This is the best brand I have come across. It works fabulous. I have tried other brands and this one is hands down the most effective. Time saving and potent. I won't buy another brand.

Love this product I’ve used it twice now to strip furniture and it works fabulous. Might have to do a second coat for stains, but after using two coats on a stain, and then sanding down, the dresser was down to be a wood so definitely recommend this.

I purchased this product specifically to remove the factory clear coat from aluminum wheels because the listing advertised it as being effective on coatings such as varnish, polyurethane, epoxy, and paint. Based on those claims, I expected it to work on the clear coat commonly found on automotive rims. Unfortunately, it did not perform anywhere near expectations. I followed the directions carefully, applied the product correctly, allowed it to sit for the recommended time, and used proper prep methods. Instead of stripping the coating, it only softened a few small areas while most of the clear coat remained untouched. It required excessive scraping, repeated applications, and still failed to remove the finish evenly. The biggest issue was the wasted time and money. After multiple attempts with this product, I still had wheels covered in patchy clear coat and had to go purchase a stronger remover (Aircraft Remover) to finish the job. That second product worked far better and did what this one was supposed to do. If you are buying this for automotive wheels, heavy-duty coatings, or any serious stripping project, I would strongly recommend avoiding it. It may work on light household finishes, but for anything tougher it was ineffective in my experience. Pros: * Came packaged fine * Included gloves Cons: * Did not remove automotive clear coat * Multiple applications with poor results * Wasted time and extra labor * Required buying another product * Misleading expectations based on description Overall, I would not purchase again and would not recommend it for wheel restoration or demanding stripping jobs.

It's nothing like the old stuff! I can't find anything that works as well as their original paint stripper! The ingredient that previously made it work so well is no longer allowed to be sold in stores due to health risks. I've tried a wide variety of strippers since it was banned! I'm still searching!

The stripper is SO easy to use. I even read reviews where people wrapped it to get it to work on harder paint and it was perfect!!! The stripper does take a learning curve, but that's a user issue not a product issue. It was my first time doing any kind of paint removal. The tool I didn't find useful, and preferred the flat spatula types I had before. With that, the paint I'm removing has several layers (of different qualities) and is almost impossible in some places. This may also be a user issue but It just wasn't my cup of tea.

This is the best product I have found to help strip wood furniture. Easy to use and very quick!

Although multiple applications were needed, this was a Huge help when I needed to remove the prior resurfacing of my tube, from 1997, prior to applying a new surface/ArmoGlaze. Nothing else I tried was much help at all. Also, the vapors given off aren't "that bad". Though one should still have a fan in the window to pull out the vapors.
