Color is just as pictured. The plastic is very strong. And the bag feels well made. It's have plenty of space for my 2nd grader. It's light weight. And easy for her to find her supplies in it. It has pocket, but not overwhelmingly lot. Feels just right. It had a slight smell when I opened it. But it went away in a day or two. Great price for a nice quality backpack
