Fantastic 8-Person Tent - Perfect for Family Camping!I recently purchased an 8-person tent for a family camping trip, and I couldn't be more pleased with its performance! This tent is incredibly spacious—comfortably fitting our group of 6 with plenty of room left for our gear. The tall peak height is a game-changer; even the tallest members of our group could stand up without crouching.Setting it up was surprisingly easy despite its size. The pre-attached poles made assembly straightforward and quick. We had it fully set up in about 15 minutes, even as first-timers. I have been using this tent since the past 6 years, alternatively with a basic Quechua 3 person tent. In comparison to the Quechua, the Amazon Basics tent is just a little less dense or thick in materials, but has aged similarly. It's very spacious. A few times, 5 of us have shared the tent to sleep in. Waterproofing is good. Ventilation, pouches, a hanging mesh, etc. are a few good positives. The only negative I think is the packed dimensions and weight. It packs big and weighs more than 5kg.If pitched properly, it resists winds pretty well. That's the thing with this tent, you need to pitch it perfectly with all the attachments done perfectly. It can withstand the violent winds of the mountain edges of the Sahyadris easily if pitched perfect.To top all that off, I had bought this tent for just ₹2k, as it was just introduced on Amazon India. Infact all capacity variants used to cost the same around that time...😄

Great tent . Value for money

It is mostly made of mesh. While it makes this tent breezy, it also makes it a hub for tiny insects that come right in if there is a source of light inside the tent. The window is awesome which is also made of mesh because it atleast has a cover but it has its body structure 40% comprising of mesh. I had camped in my lawn and thought of watching a movie but insects came from left right and top. Also be careful if you accidentally poke a hole into the mesh with your toes or fingers. Itll be an entry point then for not just small insects but big ones too. I believe they could have wasily avoided using so much of mesh in the structure.But yeah... apart from that it is very well suited for fun camping in the garden minus the bug/insect problem.Id say go for it if you just wish to gift them to the young ones to initiate them.

To Amazon,Just keeping Amazon brand to this tent does not create value to the product. Unless you provide spare parts compatible to this product it will not be a successful product. My poles were broken, trying to buy it but I am not finding any compatible product anywhere.. Please call me and give me a compatible sticks for 4 person Tent.

Pros:Can freely accommodate 4 persons and up to 5 persons also.Quality of the material is good,Easy to carry (the carry bag provided is superb in quality),Easy to install,Good for summer camping.Cons:Not good in heavy snowfall or rainy seasons. The rainfly provided is not 100 percent water proof. Water is coming from the rainfly but it's flowing downwards...Dont worry not coming inside of the tent.Before pack up we have to dry the rainfly on both sides before packing.....other than this issue..the tent good one for summer and gentle snowfall seasons.
