Better than expected
I bought this back in March for tree pollen season and I was sceptical if it would work. I set it up in the bedroom and kept the doors and windows closed. The fan is quiet and in night mode the lights dim. It’s just like white noise which seems to help with sleep. After a few nights my hay fever subsided much to my surprise. What confirmed it was working was when I opened the bedroom window thinking the pollen had gone and the indicator on the unit turned amber within a few seconds ! I closed the window and the light went back to blue indicating clean air.

Liked the first one so much I bought a second!
I have had large and small air purifiers for a year and recently decided to buy two smaller units for bedrooms. I chose this Winix model because my husband has larger purifiers of this brand at work and likes them. I couldn’t be more pleased! I got one and then a week later a second. Both are great and well exceed my expectations. They work well, are easy to use and I love how they show you current “air quality”.The day I set it up in my daughters room the light showed amber at first which confirmed what I thought. My room showed blue...until I started moving things out of my closet kicking up unseen dust and it went red! Both cleared the air pretty quickly then moved down to a quiet mode.Sleep mode is great, and much quieter than both the large and small air purifiers we already had. Automatic is a great function too. These have made a big difference to hayfever and dust allergies for those in the family who suffer. I also like that the plasma function clears viruses and bacteria!I definitely give these five stars and I will likely buy a third for my oldest to take when they are off to Uni in the autumn.

Does the job.
Bought for me son's bedroom which is small and gives certainly a better freshness during this heat than a fan. Will need to buy replacement filters though

Had for over a year - still working well.
I purchased this air purifier over a year ago as we have a problem with the neigbour's woodburner smoke coming into the house. I also purchased a PM2.5 monitor to measure the extent of the problem we have with the smoke. I can confirm that when this air filter is on, I can see the PM2.5 levels on the monitor dropping down significantly, e.g., if you put the air filter on full blast in one room with doors and windows closed, the PM2.5 level can drop from around 40 to under 5 in 3-4 minutes. I normally have the air purifier on continuously at a lower setting to maintain lower PM2.5 levels.I am now considering buying an additional air purifier (and will likely buy the same one again), as this one on its own cannot manage PM2.5 levels in the whole house given the significant smoke problem we have, but I definitely recommend as I think it is very effective for its size.
