HI on the 1.0 x 12'' extension spring there are 2 lengths one is 12in closed I need the max expanded length? I need to it to expand 32inches

It looks like this only extends to about 24". Starts at 12" collapsed length and has a suggested max deflection of about 12". Also suggested max load rating, if you need it, is about 35 pounds.

Can this be used on a french door to hang a curtain panel; needs to extend o 24 inches?

I think so. It's recommended maximum extension is 24" so your right at the end what it's rated for.

Is this spring galvanized?

Close, it's not galvanized but zinc plated instead.

Just perfect for my use, which is tensioning the corner of a triangle-shaped sail shade. Those sail shades are frustrating to tighten at the corners. And one spring itself is almost the cost of a shade. Thanks to Century for continuing production in the USA.
