Great tasting water!!!
I’m very happy with this Brita water pitcher! It’s easy to use. I did a video to show the features as I was curious how it worked myself since I had an older version years ago. It comes with one filter which has lasted me nearly 5 months & I fill it twice a week. The top can be tricky to get into place. As my video shows you have to wait for the click to know it’s attached properly. It does pour slowly but I’m patient as I know I’ll be getting a glass of awesome tasting water! I have well water & this filters it purely. The taste is phenomenal! This tastes better than bottled water & I’m eliminating the plastic bottle I’d have to return to the my store. You can buy a 3 pack of filters on Amazon to have on hand when the filter depletes it’s purpose. This was well worth what I paid. I so enjoy the glass of water I drink now. Love this Brita pitcher! Just be aware of the size as it does hold 10 cups of water so you want to be sure it will fit in your refrigerator. Highly recommend! True quality.

This thing is fantastic
Do NOT listen to the bad reviews. As anyone can see I am a simple consumer and not some kind of paid reviewer. We had a Britta stream water filter that my wife dropped on the floor and broke. It was big, bulky but gave oh so great tasting water. I bought this 10 cup pitcher as a more manageable replacement and we LOVE IT. Same stream filter and we LOVE the taste of the water. Does it pour slow? No...IF it is full. So for all you people bitching that it doesn't pour fast enough, realize 2 things. 1. The water is being filtered as it is poured...hello? and 2. IF you keep the pitcher full it pours out filtered water very quickly. Fantastic purchase. We love it.

Worth the extra cost!!!
If you're trying to decide if this is worth the extra cost compared to the older style filtered water pitchers, it definitely is. I am not a patient person, and I absolutely despise standing over the sink waiting for the water to trickle into the bottom of the old pitcher that filtered between a top and bottom level, excruciatingly slowly, so I could fill it up enough to at least get two water bottles worth before filling it again. In each model I ever had the top level-- pre filtered-- would hold about a quarter as much water as the bottom level, so you'd have to wait for water to filter through the top into the bottom and then refill the top at least 3 times before the bottom was full. I rarely had the patience for that and just wouldn't bother, so I never ended up actually having enough cold filtered water. This filters the water as you pour it out of the pitcher rather than as you fill up the pitcher, so you can fill it to the top very quickly and easily and always have cold water in the fridge ready to go into a bottle or glass. It does still have to filter the water, so you're moving the waiting step to when you pour it into a glass or water bottle. It does take less time than the old style pitcher, and most importantly you aren't stuck over the sink waiting for the process to finish. Even though this costs more than the other type of pitchers it's much more affordable than the type that attaches to the sink. The replacement filters for those are painfully expensive, and personally I think the water from this style of filter tastes better. This does have a light on the lid to indicate when the filter needs replacing, which I think is a helpful feature. One thing I've found is that when there's not much water left in the pitcher it filters much more slowly, so it's helpful to refill it before it's empty to save the frustration. It also took me a couple minutes to figure out the instructions for how to place the filter, which turned out to be very, very easy when done correctly, so if you're struggling to remove the filter cover you're most likely doing it wrong.

It's A Brita Pitcher, Works Great!
Well, apparently there's a lot of whiney people who have bought this pitcher. Clearly, the water won't come gushing out with it needing to filter as it pours. It is slower than a normal Brita, but it still works perfectly fine. The water tastes great (especially since the water in my complex is terrible!) and I like how the top actually snaps on. Yes, the top snaps on! Unlike a previous reviewer who said it falls off. Overall, be aware that it's not a geyser flow and you'll have a slow pour. But it's nice to have it filter as it pours. I like the different color options too. I'm not an overly picky person, so it works perfectly fine for me and keeps me from buying bottled water.

Easy to use, hardly any assembly. Sits in the fridge now going on 2-3 weeks.

This is the 2nd Brita water filter pitcher (jug) I've bought. It's not that the 1st one didn't work, because it did! It's because I (stupidly?) thought that filtering water in a Brita meant that the pitcher didn't have to be washed. And mould developed inside, and I didn't want to take the chance that I might not be able to clean off all of it! The previous Brita had been a traditional one. It was a slim 6-cup jug that fit into the side door of the fridge. However, because the filter reservoir was so huge, you had to fill with water and then WAIT while the water filtered through. If you got impatient and didn't wait for it to filter completely, water would leak over the countertop. This Brita is SO EASY to use! It actually takes up only slightly more room in the fridge than the previous smaller Brita I owned. When you open the "hatch" to the jug, you pour the water directly into the pitcher, snap shut the top, and can pour immediately! Because the water is filtered as you pour--that's why it's called "Brita Stream"--the water pours a TINY bit slower than the traditional Brita. After a few times, I don't even notice how "slow" it is. I have only 2 small quibbles about this pitcher--or Brita pitchers in general. The first, overall, quibble is that no Brita is dishwasher safe. This means you have to remove the rubber gasket from the top (lid) and hand wash the parts separately every time you change the filter. The 2nd quibble is that this Brita has a completely different filter--and even though Amazon sells them as 2- or 3-packs, these "Stream" filters are far more expensive than the previous Brita's filters. So the "new technology" arrives with a higher price tag. If you can get past those 2 issues, this is a far better Brita than the previous "incarnation." I highly recommend it!

Easy to use but pours a little slower than my old Brita jug

I was going to give it a 4 star as the taste isn’t as good as I was hoping for, but alas it’s a small filter in a water pitcher for $57. So all in all, it’s quite good. I don’t find it pours too slowly, I see others have commented about that. It filters as you pour so you’ll need to be a bit patient.
