It works and it's cheap, do it
Using on a Weatherby Vanguard SSR .30-06 Springfield. It's a tight squeeze to get on even with lube, looks goofy and will certainly get you a question on what it is. It does work well though. This target is 2 shots from myself and two from a buddy. 3 shots are Hornady whitetail 150gr, one shot was with a Hornady Superformance 180gr. Bought one for my cousin to use on his Savage Axis .308 but haven't had a chance to use it yet.

The kinda work... kinda
I used these on my rifle and honestly - maybe the group shrunk slightly. I had slightly better results putting one on my air rifle, but - not by much... I think it's worth the price to try it, but don't expect these to dampen harmonics to the point you suddenly are making 1 hole at a grand. Mostly- they kind of make your rifle look a little funny, and on your next trip to the range - you might get laughed at when you're not looking.

Couldn't believe it but it's true
For background: I own a 1987 Browning BAR in 7mm Remington Mag (No Boss on these years). I have done a TON of research and reading on reloading for long range accuracy. I have been handloading for a couple years (not an expert, but I know a good bit). I have tried many many loads for my BAR trying to get sub MOA (1" at 100 yards) and I could never get it to pattern like I wanted. It would be ~1.5" - 5" depending on load. For those into reloading: I've measured lengths and tried different offsets, different powders, etc etc. This last weekend I shot my Sierra gameking 160's with H4831 - 2-3" pattern from a rest at 105 yards. I slide on the Limbsaver to the suggest location (just forward of my stock), put it on the rest and fired 3 shots: <1" (maybe 0.9"). I let my barrel cool and fired 2 shots 4 minutes apart (to cool the BAR) - the holes were touching. Completely blown away - but it worked for me. My BAR is a sub MOA! NOW: as a reloader I know that maybe I never found my sweet spot for my gun, so if you are putting in <1" pattern already, this is not going to do it. But if you are having poor results (and you know it's not you, the load, the scope) then give it a try for so little $ invested. If it doesn't work return it. Update April 2015: I'm glad this has been helpful to people! I wanted to provide an update from my original review. I have had this on the rifle for at while now and with it in the same place as noted above I consistently shoot tight groups (Tight to me with a BAR is <1" at 100 or 1 MOA). I have even thrown different hand loads through it in quick succession (The bar is sensitive to heat) and it continues to perform! Love it. I was going to drop $800 plus on a bolt action rifle to get better accuracy, but I'm loving the bar now!

One more thing that can cause accuracy issues
This is a hard one to review. It seems to have worked. But moving it slightly would cause improvements or make my groups worse. So if you have the time to do 3 round groups moving this thing from the back of your barrel to the front a 1/2" at a time go for it. I end up using it because of how moving it just a 1/4" could decrease or increase accuracy. So when you find that sweet spot it needs to stay there and I dont want to be checking it all the time and if it moved to have my rifle shoot bad. It just seemed like one more thing that could go wrong if not taken care of that wasn't necessary. But it does improve groups of cheap ammo in my experience.

Wow really tightens groups up.
I bought a new 17 WSM Bmag and wanted to try this on it. I've not put this through its paces yet. I shot like 40 rounds without it at 50 yards. The groups were ok .50 to .75 but maybe 1 flyer out of 10 shots, one outside of the main group. I put this on and just guess, maybe 1.25" from the tip of the barrel to the beginning of the rubber. I sighted a new scope in a 50 yards and then put 7 shots in the same hole. I mean same hole a 0.1" group. I don't think I've put 7 shots in the same hole at 50 yards before. Too early to tell, maybe my barrel was just breaking in. But the science of waves and nodal points is not snake oil. I'll post a pic of my 50 yard 7 shot group. I know people usually do 3 shots but I had 7 rounds left and had to leave the range right after. 7 shots is much harder to do than 3 in the same hole. I think most of todays fire arms are not well bedded. Meaning some people get lucky and their barrels end happens to be at a nodal point in the vibration when they shoot. Other people are not so lucky and get a gun that might not shoot as well because the end of the barrel is at a peak of the vibration wave which can decrease precision. I would guess this will help 90 percent of the rifles out there. If you happen to have a good gun out of the box it might not help as much, it certainly will not hurt other than adding a little bit of weight.

I don’t have a full bull barrel, but it ...
I don’t have a full bull barrel, but it is a heavy factory taper on a TC Pro Hunter and it fits very well. I haven’t used it yet to know how it functions.
