Exactly as described! They are not backlit which is exactly what I wanted for my application. Half the tails are red, half black. I'm not sure why they didn't use all one color since a switch is installed inline so would be either on the negative or positive side of the device. This isn't anything that affects performance, just an amused observation. The plastic grip works very well. They are deep enough to work in a 1/4 inch think piece of plywood. I am using one as a switch for my Starlink outlet. I can't speak to the life cycle durability, but so far so good. They're pretty inexpensive so if one switch gives it up it would be exceedingly simple to disconnect the tabbed connectors and pop in a new switch without having splice any wires.

total of 80 watts boat lights, At 12 amps thats 7.5 amps. Works ok. Wires Not too hot but I would not go any higher. They claim to be rated at 12v/20 amps. Provided wire/connection much to thin for 20 amps.

I used this switch to turn 0n-Off a 40W UV-Light (0.33A at 120V) I installled inside my air conditioning box which uses 120V. I do wish the wire gauge was a little thicker. For example, I would prefer this item came with 16 or 18 gauge wire instead of 20 gauge, even though my uv light bulb is only rated a 40W and the 20 gauge switch wire will handle this. I.e., I like thicker wires becasue they are easier to install and I feel they are more durable. It is also easier to install a round on-off switch vs. a rectangular one. And in these reguards, I wish the vendor offerred a 20mm drill bit that would fit in my regular drill chuck.... and I would be willing to pay more for this option. So Mr. Vendor, if you are listening, plese add a cheap drill bit that does not have to be of super-high-quality. Thank you!

Works well. I drilled a hole with an Imperial size hole saw - forget what size. Then hammered the switch into particle board with a socket from my socket set. Didn’t shatter, didn’t need glue. Line it up straight ‘cause you’re not gonna move it later. Probably would’ve been safer with a softwood board.
