AlbaChem Heat Transfer Vinyl Letter Remover - No. 1020

Does exactly what it says it does. It's great at removing wrong letters, stray bits of vinyl that were on the shirt, etc when they're fresh. Using this stuff on 10 minute old vinyl makes it like it never happened. Removing vinyl that was pressed three years ago gets iffy and unpredictable. About 2/3 of the shirts I needed to remove lettering from came off well, but the remaining third ended up with readable ghosts of the letters. It's also a possibility that this product isn't as good at removing Cricut vinyl as it is with Siser. I'll let someone else try to test that. And as others have mentioned, this solvent smells like cancer and brain damage. If at all possible, use it outside in a light breeze or in front of a window with a fan blowing to the outside.

Great product , works well . At first I started to use it in the bathroom, but the smell Was too strong. So I went back to read the Amazon reviews , and sure enough I found all info that I needed. 1 1) you want to work with it in a good ventilated space. Like very good ventilation. So I just went outside on the backyard , got a little chair and worked with it on the backyard on the grass. 2) I was soaking the back side of the material where the vinyl stencil were , moved away - 5 feet , and let it soak for 5-10 seconds, then I was stretching the material underneath - in a manner as pretending you wash it …. With two hands washing kind of movement ( no water - juts the rubbing and stretching ) and then I got the twisters and pulled the edges of the stencil. It all worked good. And I was glad I went outside , because the smells and vapors almost did not bother me

The product worked very well! It worked quickly and left little to no residue. It may have been due to the jersey being white but I noticed a small dirt stain following use. Great product and worth the cost!

I live in a condo so finding a place to use it safely doesn’t really exist. And I know I’m probably using it incorrectly but it takes a lot of manual work.

This stuff worked amazing. I applied it to the front of the vinyl and within maybe 30 seconds you could see the vinyl crinkling and starting to loosen. I then scratched it off with my fingernail with no issues. Everything came off the white onesie (I had black and light blue on it). There is white residue left on the black however (this was a black canvas bag and the same thing happened on a 60poly/40cotton black tshirt). Please ignore the dog hair...it happens! It was a little bit more difficult to scrape off a 10" round full design but with time and scratching it all finally came off.

Although it’s expensive, we had a couple player changes which caused my grandson some tears. This does the job but just be careful not to put on a wood or plastic surface
