Best tasting, popcorn fragranced rice!!! NON-GMO!
By the way, THIS RICE IS A NON-GMO PRODUCT, in response to a negative comment. It is the best rice I have ever bought! Somewhat more expensive, but worth the price. I have used several Rice Select products, including couscous, whole wheat orzo and Royal rice blend. All are superior to other brands in taste and ease of preparation. Square plastic containers make storage very convenient. I prefer to lightly toast the rice in a teaspoon of oil for a richer flavor. Low free starch makes rinsing unnecessary, and grains come out separate and fluffy. The product is grown and packaged in the USA, which I prefer. All in all, this rice is a superior product.

Easier to cook than regular rice
This rice appears to be parboiled as it only takes 15 minutes to cook unlike the 25 for most basmati. Has the great, nutty aroma of regular basmati and tastes great also. I like the container that keeps the rice fresh.

Fresh and Cooks Up Tender
This white rice cooks up nicely for long grain and steams up great. I had expected the rice to be more fragrant while cooking, but the end product is fine and I will not hesitate to order this version again.

My family loves Basmati rice. We have used other brands, but once we tried Texmati, we have never used any other. I like the container for air-tight storage and easy measuring. The Texmati flavor is perfect - subtle, but the Basmati flavor comes through. I use it for side dishes, pilaf, rice salads, etc. Texmati has other items which we have also used. The quality is clear in every one of them.

The Best Rice on the Market
Normally, I would buy rice in the grocery store. However, I live in an area that does not have that choice. And I have loved Texmati rice for many years and refuse to do without it. So I ordered it here and it is as fresh and dependable as always.
