This tester works fairly well at just testing how much particulate is in your water. It obviously doesn't tell you whats in the water, but if it tests super low near zero, then you are drinking very clean and most-likely reverse osmosis water. I tested the water all around my work one day and now know which areas are safe for drinking. I let my close friends know which water is safer for drinking and they appreciated that. Some water tested very high, like 200 ppm which is probably full of things that will kill you. I enjoy testing all my water and filters and this tester makes it easy to do.

I've had home RO water filters for over 20 years. I just recently found out about this testing. I asked AI how to know when to change filters. This tester is it. I typically change my filters every few years. I can probably go even longer, now that I know how to test the tap water and the filtered water. This will reduce the operating costs (Filters) increasing the value of the RO System. Tester is very easy to use. I chose this one because its made by the manufacturer of my RO system. Good Quality. I just leave it by the RO unit under my sink (where I keep the special filter wrenches).

Works better than I'd thought. My water is cleaner than I'd thought. Safer.

Readings come up fast and consistently which covers all my needs for household water testing. If you want a straightforward, reliable TDS meter that’s built well and hassle-free, this is it.

Handy little tool. I just installed a R.O. system under my sink. This device helped me know that my well water really isn't that bad (TDS ~175), and after some research I now know that I should expect my R.O. filters to last on the longer end of their life expectancy. I have used it to check the quality of my R.O. water output (15), and even check the bottled water that gets delivered at work (40) as well as various faucets in my house. Several other reviews mention longevity issues - I just got mine, so time will tell how long it lasts.

Out of packaging it didn't work. Turned out to be a defective battery. Replaced battery and it works great for testing my reverse osmosis system.

The unit arrived with a dead 2032 Lithium battery. I keep extras. The meter works well however. It does come with a case. APEC is a good name which is why I picked it. .

Everything tests out at 30-37 ppm. I did not believe that all our drinking water was that low! So.....I bought some 300+ ppm control and it tested out fine. I then made my own 1000+ ppm control and it tested fine. I will add to this review as I am going to compare numbers from a different tester using controls that I know. So far so good A nifty little tester. I give 4 stars because I would like to see an appropriate vial of control INCLUDED in the packaging. Very low cost and the buyer could see the calibration of , say, 1000 ppm and compare to their readings of household drinking water and stored emergency water. Overall I would recommend this to buyers.

El agua e-pura por ejemplo, marca menos de 20 TDS, el agua de la llave en mi colonia marca 370 TDS. Atención! este aparato no mide la pureza del agua, solo la cantidad de solidos disueltos, no puede asegurarte que tu agua no contenga bacterias o viruses.
