I loved the first set so I ordered another. This one came with broken bits even though the package wasn’t damaged. Actually, the package wasn’t even sealed! I’ve requested a replacement. Update: the replacement came almost immediately and with no broken parts!

I broke the tile sample given to me. This worked like a charm. Left perfect streaks. Did not break at all. Worth buying if you are taking a class that involves determining the hardness/streak of minerals/rocks.

These plates are perfect for streak tests to identify mineral specimen. very happy with my purchase.

Work as expected for my earth science class. The porcelain does break easily and one was broken upon arrival.

Great Tool for class

They're streak plates as advertised. I ordered 3 sets for my upcoming unit on rocks/minerals and only two of the tiles arrived chipped - which isn't bad when compared to what other reviewers found when the opened their boxes. Chips are small and on corners, so the plates will still work for what I need.

All the plates were broken when they arrived which has completely screwed up the lab I had planned.

They work and are easy to wipe clean.
