Single Din Car Radio CarPlay: 6.5" Touchscreen Android Auto Truck Stereo

I was primarily looking for a radio that had android auto, an aux port and a physical volume knob. This has that and pretty much everything else too. The volume knob is notchy so you know when you go up by 1 each time. You can program steering wheel buttons, the screen brightness can be in sync with your dash light brightness. The equalizer is easy to adjust. Only thing I'm a little disappointed with is the android auto doesn't work with a bluetooth connection and must be connected with usb cable to work. But it never did advertise that it would work with bluetooth. The UI is fine. the touch screen is accurate and there is an option to recalibrate it but animations are choppy like around 10-15 fps. At this price, a buttery smooth experience isn't expected anyway. The screen is very readable at any every angle a driver and passenger would be at.

I had this for only two years and it went bad. The screen no longer comes one when you power it up. Have to do it over 20 times or more before it lights up.

***Six week update*** Reducing the one star. It locks up within 1-2 minutes of starting Android Auto/Carplay each and every time now. It has also started having radio reception issues, where it only sometimes is able to pull in any FM stations. ***One Month Update*** Reduced from four stars to two stars. The head unit has started locking up when Android Auto/Carplay is used, and no series of button presses will do anything, necessitating a power cycle to unlock. When it locks up, whatever sound is playing will just continue to play on a half-second repeat, which is excessively annoying when it happens on the highway where pulling off to restart the car isn't convenient. When the head unit works, my original review applies, but unfortunately the locking up is becoming more and more frequent from once every few times I drive my car to every time I drive it, though how long into the drive it waits to do it is still variable. ***Original review below*** I put this in a Jeep TJ that already had an aftermarket CD player in it. Good: The install was pretty easy, though I wish it had the function of each wire by color instead of connector pin out, and it works and sound surprisingly good. Boot-up is almost instantaneous, and while it doesn't have wireless Carplay/Android Auto, it connects via USB-A faster than I could have possibly expected. Not So Good: There is no physical home button, nor a virtual one when in Carplay/Android Auto, so if you want to adjust something in the menu like the sound settings while in the phone is connected you have to unplug it and then make the changes and reconnect the phone. Also, it has a mic port in the back, but doesn't come with a microphone (luckily the CD player it replaced had one ready to plug in to this new head unit). Overall, it's pretty great for the cost and a single-DIN unit. I don't have any cameras installed in the Jeep, so I have no idea how well the backup camera input works, but the rest is good and even the the parts I have to complain about are minor and by no means a deal breaker.

The preceding is my original review, the company contacted me and made the rectified the situation. I’m changing my review because after weeks of contacting Amazon to get the problem corrected, this company contacted me within a matter of a couple of days. I was never dissatisfied with the radio itself. Thank you for your quick response! The radio its self is nice. Has good sound quality, but it said it came with a wiring harness, steering wheel remote and a back up camera. Ours did not come with these other accessories. It was a gift and it wasn’t until after the radio was installed , that I realized it was missing items. was told there was no way to reach the seller and my only option was to return the radio. Which had already been installed. Due to that reason, my rating is low.

Ok so my honest opinion of this , as the saying goes "you get what you pay for " . It works and for the price isn't horrible ... Bought this with the dash kit and wiring harness for 2011 Chevy Silverado with the dash kit it does fit ,but there is still a tiny gap . We ordered this specifically for the phone mirroring ,and gps . The problem is that the mirroring only works when plugged in via USB charging port .when it's mirrored the screen stays centered and small unless you keep the phone screen rotated (which can be challenging to do while it's plugged in laying on a truck console . ) also I think the biggest disappointment was it will not allow you to play any music while using the tether for gps . Radio is good for being just that ,it's good for playing music ,but if you are hoping to mimic a newer car with the GPS/ Bluetooth features this is not the product for that ... But if you are just in it for some good tunes it's a convenient buy for the price .. On a Happy note I do appreciate that you can program the radio for your vehicles logo to appear when you turn it on as if it always belonged there .
