No, you don’t have to hold a button the whole time. You can slide it up all the way and it will stay on.

Does it clean hard water stains from bathroom marble tiles?

Yes, it works amazing on hard water stains. I leave it on for 5-10 minutes after scrubbing it in. After I let it sit I sometimes scrub it a little more then rinse. Your tub will look brand new.
