Will the dishes scratch when cutting with a knife????

ABSOLUTELY! I've had a couple of sets of Pflatzgraff light-colored stoneware and every time a metal piece of flatware or cookware came in contact with it, the metal created a gray mark that looked like a scratch. It would take LOTS of elbow grease to get the marks off. Why can't Pfaltzgraff figure it out and correct it? Their name on dinnerware no longer equates with the quality you could expect decades ago.
