Hario Cold Brew Coffee Wine Bottle, 650ml, Black

Long story short: This thing is simple and amazing, and even using pre-ground beans (Bizzy Cold Brew, most recently) gave us 2-3 mugs of that delicious nectar of life with only a few minutes of prep and an overnight in the fridge. If you want quick, easy cold brew, this is a great way to go. Long story longer: I purchased this bottle to make cold brew around 6 month ago. I am a bit of a coffee nerd (at least for the science of making coffee, even if my taste palette is still a work in progress). I was looking for an easy way to make smaller batches of cold brew, and an ad for this hit me at just the right time. I purchased this... then left it sitting on a shelf for nearly six months. I would often see it and tell myself "Oooo, I should try that", then promptly forget about it. I think part of the delay was an unconscious thought that making cold brew takes a while. I normally use one of the large devices to make larger batches of concentrate and that takes a while to properly measure out the beans, grind them, measure out the water, etc etc etc. Finally, around a week ago, I got my act together and finally used it. The first time I did , I went and did the coffee nerd thing and measured out the beans, ground them, measured out the water, put it all together, set a timer to take it out of the fridge, and so one. It was overkill. Where this battle shines is it's simplicity. It is best for the quick batch for the next day. Now I just fill up the filter about 80% of the way with course ground coffee, attach the filter to the lid, attach the lid to the bottle, take off the cap, fill to around the top of the glass, put the cap back on, give it a few shakes and stick it in the fridge overnight. Nice, simple, clean, done. Sure, the Cold Brew does taste a little better with the precise measurements and timing, but honestly, the difference for most people would be negligible, it noticed at all. My only regret is that I haven't been doing this for the last 6 months.

So I’ve bought a few different types of cold brew bottles/pitchers/jars. This one is my favorite! It’s so easy to clean, the fine mesh is top notch and makes a flawless easy clean & steep. I’ve used it multiple times, make sure to fill half the steeper so the coffee grounds can expand in the water. I’ve left it for a few hours and over 30 hours. The steeper is super easy to remove and the bottle is great to use after. One of my favorite things is that once you put the cap on, it’s basically suctioned and air tight. I’ve tried removing the whole top off with the cap in and it’s such a struggle. When the cap is removed, the whole top comes off so easily. It dries nicely, so far no tear in the mesh even with tension and light pressing. I’ll probably buy another one just as back up cause I love it so much. It’s aesthetically pleasing, easy to clean, easy to use, and honestly will never go back to metal or bag mesh cold brew makers.

Started making cold brew at home and this works perfectly! It's easy to use and easy to clean. It also looks visually appealing. I'd recommend since it's practical and will help you save money!

This is the brand my favorite coffee company sells, but it was $10 cheaper with faster delivery at Amazon. It's easy to use, easy to clean, doesn't take up a bunch of room in my fridge.

I got the older version about 7 years ago and it was square and plastic. This is the upgraded version with a glass base. Super awesome in that sense. I wish it was still square because I would put mine sideways on the shelf in the fridge. Leakproof is a must for me and it is. I like the upgraded filter for cold brew coffee and tea. I have one as a gift

Looks great & seals well! Love the teal color- true to pic shown. Works well to steep/ cold brew tea (used about 15-20 times now). I haven’t used it for coffee yet. Keeps tea fresh for a couple days. It’s easy to clean and the mesh is holding up well.

購入して一ヶ月ほど使用したレビューです。 コーヒー器具の世界ではよく知られるHARIOらしく、とても完成度が高いプロダクトだと感じています。 購入前に気になっていた点について、購入後にわかったことをいくつか共有します。 【キャップ部の構造】 購入前には、シリコンキャップの部分の構造がよくわからず「大丈夫なのか？」と不安に思っていました。皆さんもそのあたりが気になる方多いのでは？と思いますが、構造としてはそこまで特殊なものではありませんでした。 まずボトルの内側に浸かる「上下ストレーナー(フィルターメッシュ+メッシュ付キャップ)」のユニットは、シリコン製キャップから独立して付け外しできるようになっています。シリコンのキャップにはスリットが造形されており、挿し込んで90度回転させると宙吊りの状態になるので、これで抽出を行います。 それからストレーナーが上下パーツに分かれている理由ですが、ストレーナーにフタをすることで傾けても粉が漏れないようにすること、ストレーナーのユニットとして独立して取り外しを行えるようにするために、このような機構になっているようです。 ストレーナーのユニットは注ぎ口のシリコン部分から取り外しが可能なため、抽出後にストレーナー部だけを取り外すことで、保管時の過抽出を防ぐことができます。よく出来ています。 シリコンの注ぎ口は、ガラスにそのまま押し込んでハメる仕組みになっています。経年で伸びてゆるくなってくる可能性はあるかなと感じていますが、今のところ漏れはなく優秀です。 【メンテナンス性】 ストレーナーについては分解して洗浄ができますので扱いやすいです。シリコン製の注ぎ口については上述したストレーナーのスリットがありますので洗浄しにくさがあります。ただしシリコン製ですので変形させて洗うことは可能ですし、コーヒーで使う限りはほとんど汚れることはありませんが、構造上コーヒーが毎回通過する溝になるため、気になる方は気になるかもしれません。 1ヶ月使用していますが、ストレーナーがすでに若干着色してきているため、定期的に漂白等が必要になるかな、と思っています。 【容量について】 650mlと記載されていますが、規定量では満水時750mlです。400ml/600ml/750mlの位置に白い印が付いており、それを目印に抽出量を調整できます。 おそらくコーヒー粉とストレーナーが浸水すると水量が変わってしまうために「出来上がり容量」という記載を用いて、概ね100ml程度を差し引いて表現しているものと思われます。 なお、抽出のためにはストレーナーが浸水する水位が必要となるため、400ml以下では抽出が不可能です。この点は注意が必要かもしれません。 【ストレーナー】 ティーバッグ抽出に比べると密閉性が向上しコーヒー粉が漏れなくなるため、よりクリアなコーヒーに仕上がります。コールドブリュー(水出し)は元々クリーンな味わいになりますが、フィルターの質の影響か雑味も減っているように感じます。 (ファミレスでもお馴染みのストレーナー付き「ワンカップティーメーカー」のメッシュよりも遥かに細かい素材です。) 個人的には粉の挽き目によりますが、10時間抽出前後がベストかなと感じています。 それと微粉についてはそこそこ抜けます。これは仕方がないことだとは思います。 ただし抽出後に冷蔵庫等でボトルを安置しておくことで、ほとんどの微粉は沈殿した状態になりますので、静かに注ぐことで回避することができます。 【欠点】 いくつか欠点を上げるとすれば、ストレーナーのメッシュ部分が少々繊細すぎます。金属の突起(フォーク等)にぶつけるなど扱いを誤ると簡単に破ける程度には薄い素材のため、貼り方等でもう少し丈夫に改良されると良いのかなと思います。 破損した際のことが気になったので調べると「FIC-70 ストレーナー」という品番にて交換品をパーツ単位で購入可能となっているようです。 ただし税込み1100円での販売ですので、すべてセットの当製品が1700円前後であることを考えると、追加でもう1つ購入してしまう方がお得かもしれません(別用途でも使えるボトルが手元に残りますし)。 注ぎ口のユニットの機構についても、合理的ではあるとは思いますが、少々複雑すぎる印象があります。ストレーナーと注ぎ口の構造に関してはもう少しシンプルになると扱いやすくなるかなとは思いますが、現時点でも扱いを間違えなければ問題があるというほどではありません。 【総評】 理化学器具も扱うHARIOらしくガラスの質はとても良く、ビーカーなどよりは薄い印象ですが、厚みに見合わない堅牢さを感じます。 一方で、構造上の複雑さとストレーナーの脆さが若干気になりはしています。これが今後1年使っていて保つのかどうか？は使ってみないとわかりませんが、そのあたりのコスパを気にする方はもっと頑丈な製品が良いということもあるかもしれません。 ただ、ワインボトル風の注ぐスタイルはとても扱いやすく注がれ方も滑らかで、来客時に「安っぽい水出し容器から飲み物を出す」ことをせずに済むところも気に入っています。そのあたりは当製品にしかない魅力だと思います。シリコンの質感も安っぽい感じはありませんし、むしろ造形上の工夫からか、質の高さを感じます。 ストレーナーを取り外せば別の飲料にも多用途で使えるので、総合的に見て1700円前後という価格は非常にお得感があると感じています。買ってよかったです。

A good buy. It is easy to empty the coffee beans afterwards. It is easy to wash.

Used this the entire summer, it was easy to use, clean and maintain and brewed some nice coffee. Definitely recommended. The seal on the top isn't too bad neither, I transported it to and from work without spillage.
