Exactly what I expected.
I chose 4 stars because I have used Haynes manuals before (Saab 9-3), and I knew that it would contain enough information for me to get stuff done myself, and not have to pay someone exorbitant amounts of $ to do simple/intermediate/slightly advanced things... but not 5 stars because Haynes manuals fall short of perfection. What they need are bigger/better pictures/diagrams for some things, and more succinct explanations of some tasks. The wording is sometimes confusing, but then, they are a British based company, so that's kind of expected too. Likes: Tool descriptions and pictures (however low contrast they are, they are still helpful) "crash course" in electrical theory ***DIAGNOSIS STEPS*** <-this is by far the biggest reason to get this book... You can spend hours, if not DAYS hunting down shorts or other circuit issues, but their methodology saves you TONS of time and frustration. Dislikes: Paper quality is meh (my dad was a printer, so I'm a paper snob though... :) ). The reason that this is important is that since the paper quality is basically a grade above newspaper, the image quality suffers. The paper browns over time slightly, and the ink fades a little. That combined with a loose tooth on the paper makes for very low-contrast images. They are still discernible however, and most people would probably tell me I'm being too picky... :) Some descriptions are worded in ways that make procedures a little hard to follow... but a few re-reads usually does the trick. Overall: A good book that I got used at a great price. Totally worth it. If you are wanting to learn enough to start working on your car without ruining stuff inside it... This is the way to go. I recommend it.

Great Manual
I stopped working on cars in "79", but after seeing prices garages are charging for simple repairs, I ordered this electrical manual to try and learn the new way of car wiring systems. It is a great manual for learning all about your vehicles electrical system. From the back up alarm to the fog lights and all and everything in between! Shows pictures, diagrams, how to do's, and web sites if you are having a problem understanding. Goes from basics of wiring to technician type wiring. All understandable!

Automotive electrical systems
I never tried to pull apart the wires under the hood of my car or work on anything electrical. It was a mystery to me what happened there but with the help of this great book from Haynes my truck is no longer under 'voodoo magic' fit only for the high priced wizards at the Ford shop! I would still take one of those very hard to understand problems that pop up then go away. I can't even start to understand them even the tech at my local Ford dealer ship has trouble with it, but this is a great book and helped to get me there. I know what he is taking about because I had my hand on it as well. I recommend this book.

It's from 1989
It's good and Im learning a lot of good stuff, but too dated to be great. I think that watching credible youtubers (Eric Car Guy, Chris Fixx, Schroedinger, The Trainer), taking notes and practicing with a multimeter is probably a much more efficient way to learn practical skills.

It's Electric boogie woogie
I have received, more then 8 years of electrical/electronic training, and been working on cars since I was a kid, now I am back to working on cars and I am shocked at the vast number of mechanics, that really do not understand how the electrical and the electronics work in autos. At one time, you could get away with only knowing one or the other now everything is so intertwined, you got to know. This book covers things from the mechanics point of view! Note I change my review to 5 stars the book is a must have, however the copy i purchased is in rougher shape then it is suppose to be

Highly reccomended
I use books like this for teaching, I teach automotive engineering and the these publications are extremely well written with fantastic pictures and diagrams seem to let my learners ( in some cases of limited abilities) understand how things work, they translate this in to real life when at work and the results of the feedback from their employers is encouraging

Excellent resource for DIY tinkerers
Reminded me of many basic electrical basics I forgot, and taught me some I never knew. Good book. BUT, if you are not mechanically inclined, and not willing to learn, then don't bother. Requires the concept of THINKING to benefit from what is offered in this book. But you knew that deep down.

Received an old used copy after paying almost paying ₹1966/-
No doubt that the content in the book is really helpful...but the book that was delivered to me seemed to look like it was an old used book with its cover page fixed with tape .....not really helpful after you pay a heavy price for it .
