Muscle Feast Chocolate Micellar Casein Protein powder is my favorite micellar casein powder, and it's also my favorite protein powder for mixing in to make stuff like pudding. It's sweetened with stevia, a natural sweetener rather than an artificial sweetener, and the chocolate covers up the stevia taste. The milk for this powder is from grass-fed cows, which is better for the cows and better for the users of this powder, as well. I found whey protein isolate didn't work well when it came to making protein pudding and protein bars, but it turns out that with a little experimenting, this stuff is great for making those and also high protein treats like protein brownies and protein cookies, which didn't turn out well using whey protein isolate powder. I also find that this protein powder is much easier to mix into liquids than their chocolate whey protein isolate. Overall I'm super happy with this product in every way.

Having used protein shakes the last 15 years I haven’t come across a company like Muscle Feast that produces a cleaner protein. The Unflavored Whey Isolate and Casein proteins are roughly 92% and have none of the extra fillers used by other companies like ON and BSN. Even their Chocolate Protein Flavor is 85% and uses natural flavoring like Coca powder and Stevia to add flavor to their powder. Mike” Mike, All of our protein powders come from Wisconsin. Our Dextrose, Maltodextrin and waxy maize come from farms across the US. Our Oat powder comes from Canada. Most of the amino acids and creatine originate from China (they supply about 99% of all the amino acids and creatine sold in the US; Creapure Creatine is manufactured in Germany). Japan does most of the other 1% but their quality is not as good as the product from China. I share your concerns about China. That is why we only purchase products through China from Prinova and Green Wave, Inc; both companies have full time US employees in China that verify the Chinese suppliers they are using are following US GMP procedures and they also do independent testing on the ingredients for purity. For inspections, we are regularly inspected by the Ohio Department of Agriculture and we are also registered with the FDA and subject to random inspections from them as well. **Sean Gillespie** “Thanks Sean. How can do you make your proteins so clean and free of fillers? Mike” Mike, All isolate proteins will range from about 91% to as high as 95% (Ion exchange can hit 94-95%). We do not like the ion-exchange protein as it partially denatures the protein and the sodium content is really high. Most companies cut their proteins to drop the protein content down (make the product less expensive to produce) and many of them use less expensive forms of protein; like whey concentrate, sodium or calcium cassenaite. We just decided to keep our proteins as clean as possible and all natural to ensure we were putting out the best products possible. The downside of our protein powder is that they do not thicken like other products do when you mix our proteins in water. If you put our proteins in water, the consistency of the water does not change much. This protein powder is exactly what I was looking for. It dissolves well - I just use a whisk. I have tried the vanilla and the unflavored. I hate sweet drinks so the unflavored is my favorite - I just mix it with water (along with some of my other supplements) and drink in the morning. I will say, the vanilla is very lightly sweetened, so I can drink that - unfortunately it is sweetened with stevia, which I really don't like the taste of.

Unlike many others, I use casein for everything one would normally use whey: post workout, morning smoothie, late night snack, protein pudding, etc. The reasons are simple: it’s a slow release protein to help build big muscles (if that’s your goal, it’s micellar casein) and it keeps me fuller longer, much longer than whey. The problem is, there are not many companies who do casein well. What’s popular in many wheys and caseins are the artificial sweeteners. I am suspect of their long term usage health effects and know they cause brain fog, fatigue and other negative side effects now in me now so I avoid them. It is very very hard to find a clean ingredients list and the use of what I consider a safer sweetener: stevia. Then comes in Muscle Feast's casein, a very welcome addition at a very good price. I got vanilla and have enjoyed using them. But I have to say, I have issues with taste and mix ability. It tastes...ok...and it’s nearly impossible to get smooth even with a blender. But I’m ok with that given the clean ingredient list, cost, and the results of using it. I definitely grow with this protein and stay fuller: two of my most important considerations. As long as they don’t jack up the price (it seems like all protein makers have been lately), Muscle Feast has a new regular customer. But Muscle Feast: bring us banana flavored!

Very hearty as far as a protein powder. Thicker, and milk taste..but i am all for the higher protein count. Taste fine, just maybe mix with something, not horrible at all. I would rather drink this, than any other. No smell, does not clump, nor upset my stomach. Great brand and the size for the amount you pay is great!! The ingredients are clean for sure!! Love Muscle Feast..always my go to brand!

This brand carries some of the cleanest proteins and the taste is good. If you are going to do protein powder why would you want all the junk in most protein powders that over half the ingredients you cannot pronounce. The only problem I have with this powder is that the packaging lacks a lot. I literally cannot close the bag on the protein powder no matter how hard I try from the first time I opened it. So, it will cause me to look at other brands until they can do something to correct this problem.
