Best spreader I’ve ever had. It can be set to different spreading levels depending on what you’re spreading. I’ve used it on my lawns, using fertilisers, improvers and over seeding. This it does easily and precisely. The spread pattern is good as is the distance. It is consistent on the level it spreads, you just have to decide on the pace you walk. I’ve done a couple of overseedings this year, as the lawns have taken a real battering, and am very pleased with the results. You don’t have to stick to Miracle - Gro products it’s happy to spread any, a good generic spreader, one of the best at the price.

Do I actually need a spreader? Maybe, maybe not. I have a reasonably large back garden half of which, about 40 cars worth is grass. So I could have distributed the grass seed and soil improver by hand but I supposed this helps getting the right amount of spread in all areas. It worked pretty well and was easy to put together so no issues and the plastic is pretty solid so I can see it lasting. Overal if you can't be bothered yo take your time with the seed or if free time is a rare and high commodity in your life then get one. Otherwise you could maybe do it yourself a bit slower!.

This is great. Easy to put together. Sprays so far also much quicker than other speeders I’ve used. You do need to walk a tad quicker as comes out fast !!! Great quality quite expensive but hopefully will last me a long time. Great buy. Yes would recommend

Took out the box and was ready to go in 5 mins. Just needed swing up handle and tighten and clip stand into place. The wheels look quite solid which is always a good sign on things that need wheels! You have to go online to understand the settings for the product and size of area to be treated. Bit that is geared towards you buying their products I guess. I used it as a guide to distribute maximum amount of fertiliser on a damaged area of a sports fields. Which has been disk seeded by tractor. You are encouraged to practice walking at 1 metre a second which was a challenge at my age and fitness level! However, you do need that speed to ensure it spins the distributor to meet the claimed 10 foot distribution. I'm not sure it was perfectly distributed but it was reaching a reasonable distance from the distributor. Its had to see on the video but I was getting about 7-8 foot fine distribution as well as the obvious 2-3 feet more concentrated distribution. It was set at maximum opening. I may do two passes with less released into the tray next time and fertiliser granules are relatively heavier than seed. As I was working on a specific damaged and recovery area, I shortened the distance between my line runs to over lap a bit with each run. Most people will buy this for medium to large gardens I suspect. I wouldn't use on a small garden as it will send seeds or fertiliser into your borders. Its a pity they didn't add a blocking device for either side to prevent contents from spaying out at boarders. Some feeder have this. How robust it will be for our larger project use remains to be seen. But it will have paid for itself in our case if it proves not to be robust under heavier than normal use. All in all it was good value, easy to assemble and use. You just need to work out the settings for your specific needs so as not to waste money using too much product.
