This stuff is great and true to color. If you prep and take your time it holds up great, especially if you put some sealer on it.

This sanded grout matches almost perfectly and was really easy to work with. You can’t even tell it’s caulking. I caulked along backsplash where it meets the tile because of cracking in the grout. Once I removed some of the grout I was able to make smooth lines that flex now. No more cracked grout line behind the kitchen sink! Once you apply it don’t try to rework or rub it too much when cleaning or you will wipe away the sand from the silicone caulking. Highly recommended.

When our bathroom was remodeled in 2017 the tile was not laid well in one section and was loose and thus the grout had been coming out from around it for years. We finally found someone to pull up the tile and re-caulk but it was hard to find the color locally. I was happy to find the match on Amazon and I was told to use the caulk grout in the tube instead of the normal grout because it needed to be more malleable in case it was the floor moving that made the tile pull up. My friend who did it the grout with this tube never had experience with this particular type of grout but said that it worked very well. We’re pleased enough with the finished product. I’m happy on two counts… 1) that the color was quite close to what I already had and 2) that my tiles are reconnected solidly.

So I bought this to specifically match the mapei color flex grout I used, however, it was much more expensive than the white sanded caulk equivalent I found at Home depot. I ended up running out with hardly any area left to caulk, so I tried the home depot option to see if it was a match, and it was perfect. Also it seemed easier to clean up the edges with the home depot sanded caulk vs this one.

I don't know what is going on with Mapei. They used to have sanded acrylic caulk and it literally felt like it was discontinued over night. We used the Bahama Beige on a kitchen remodel 2 years ago and recently have used it for tile and trim after house flooded. In the middle of the repairs, product ran out so we went to Lowes only to find out they only have the Mapesil T Plus silicon. We decided to give it a try. It sucks. It is sticky, gooey and very hard to spread. I don't recommend it at all. So now had to find sanded caulk from Contractors Direct and ordered 2 tubes. Both had dried caulk at the bottom but squeezed out ok once one tube was used. Haven't opened the other one yet. Not sure what or how to replace specific colored sanded caulk if needed for the future if they don't make it anymore.

I didn’t like the cost. So expensive. Also had to wait for over 2 weeks for it to arrive & it was damaged.
