Spigen Ultra Hybrid S Designed for Samsung Galaxy S8 Case (2017) - Midnight Black

I was looking for for a case to replace my poetic affinity, and I found the Spigen. I read reviews on it, and figured I'd give it a try. It's very nice looking, has decent grip, and fits like a glove. I also like the kickstand. It comes in handy when you want to place your phone on a table top. It's a slim case, so keep in mind that it provides protection for the occasional drop or two. If you are going out of your way to test the durability of this case you will probably will post pics of a phone with a shattered front or back. Just add a glass screen protector<case friendly>, and you'll be good to go. 👍

You really need to buy this and feel great about that expensive phone you bought!!! It enhances the look of your phone in the most subtle yet beautiful way. The fit is great and can be used with screen guards or tempered glass, the cut outs are machine precise and the case itself is a combination of silicone and hard TPU, the spring loaded back stand works great and has not shown any signs of wear and tear till now. I've been using this for about 2 months now and there doesn't seem to be any discoloration yet, It's clear so discoloration I suppose is evident... But even then, the quality, feel and ease of use complimenting your phone's amazing looks is something you can't beat in this price range. SPIGEN has always kept its quality, fit and finish on par with much more expensive brands... This case is no exception.

This case is excellent, and has saved my S8 numerous times already. I used the same case (without the kick stand) on my S7 edge - and it survived several drops - including on ceramic tile floors and concrete. The only reasons I'm giving this one 4 stars instead of 5 are: 1. The kickstand isn't that great...and seems to come out...more often than I'd like 2. This is probably more the fault of the screen protectors...but the case has to be partially to blame. I went thru 7 screen protectors before I got one to stay on with this case. It's true that the problem was "fixed" by the screen protector companies cutting them smaller - not denying that. But I think if the inside edge of this protector was a little rounded (not so sharp), that would have done the trick too. I dunno - overall, this is a great case for a very reasonable price - which is good, because they scratch up over time, so it's not the last one I'll buy. Next time I'll get the same one without the kickstand.

It's a really good case. It fits the phone very snug, there's no way it's falling out. The clear plastic on the back lets you see color of your phone and there's no way it'll get scratched. The kickstand works perfectly. I never had a case with a kickstand prior to this one, so I was concerned with the quality and angle. But it's the perfect angle and getting it open and closed is very simple. I really like the black around the edges of the case, too! The *only* issue I have is that the metal coating on the kickstand is scratching off already (only had this a week), which is a bummer. It's not like I spin the phone on the case or anything...it's just from putting it down on my desk, table, etc.

I have not had this long enough to drop my phone and test its protective abilities yet. I think it would fair pretty well in that regard though. Otherwise, I was a bit underwhelmed by the case. I was hoping for something a little more unobtrusive. Probably just being a bit too picky :) Pros: + Well priced + Snug fit + Magnetic kick stand works well + Well made Cons: - The plastic is not as clear as I had hoped. It definitely mutes the color of the phone which is a shame - Scooped edge is not quite enough to not interfere with launching the edge applications - The fingerprint hole could be shaped to guide the finger better to the right space - It lifts the edges of the Spigen NeoFlex screen protector (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XP7SV6G/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1) - It's a bit of a fingerprint smudge and lint magnet :(

Spigen makes the best cases. This clear case is extra slim and shows off my silver phone. The case they sold me at Best Buy was inferior, sticky, cloudy. Love the kickstand too. If you buy the Samsung flip case its fine for looking good at work but I had it at a wedding and you can't take photos with it...I took the phone out and dropped in on the sidewalk..no case minor cracks on two corners. This case will provide all the protection you need. I would recommend getting a stand up wireless charges with multiple antennas. The phone will charge through the case I just keep the kickstand away from the charge zone and with my charger I can lay it sideways with the kickstand out of the way.

Previously I've only used otterbox. Gave this a try and it's been the best case I've ever owned. The clip can come off a little too easily if you remove the case to clean it and the clip paint does wear kind of easily but I'm not concerned with that. I've dropped this thing so many times and my phone has survived no problems at all. It really does feel like it's part of the phone it fits so well. Conversely I also have an s8 from work and I threw an otterbox commuter on that one. Big mistake. Dropped the phone once and the screen cracked in the corner. The otterbox is more rigid than the spigen. I think the softer spigen has helped my personal phone survive better. Also there is a more noticeable gap between the rounded edges of the screen with the otterbox vs the spigen.

Super happy with my Spigen case. I've been using Spigen cases for a few years, top quality. This one is special because of the super handy kickstand wich I'm using every day. Nice and sleek fit, not too bulky, enough to protect your phone for eventual drops. Definitely recommend!

Really durable and fits good only problem is the stand is to close to the phone so if you drop it you might break the back glass but it's a good case anyways.
