These work!
These work as advertised. I harvested a really nice 8 point that only went fifty yards. I cannot recommend a better expanding broad head than these. Worked perfectly. A+

Excellent penetration and blood trail!!
I finally had the opportunity to see this broadhead in action. Opening morning at my lease and no deer but two big hogs show. Normally I wouldn't waste an arrow and head on a big hog but I was all set to shoot so I thought I'd give it a go. I was using an elite synergy at 30" draw length and 60lb weight. I use Easton bloodline arrows and nocturnals. I have not bothered to calculate KE because other buddies have used this broad head in similar set ups without issues so I was confident. Waited for a good quartering away shot and let it fly. Initially I thought I did not get a pass through. Great shot right behind the shoulder. I waited about 30 minutes before getting out of the blind. Low and behold full pass though nice bright red blood. Now this hog was a super hog. We tracked him for more than 150 yards in the brush. Great blood trail for that distance. Just couldn't believe he hadn't dropped. It was gnarly brush so I have to say that the blood trail it gives you is great. And I didn't loose the arrow or the head. So it almost worked out the way I wanted. Wish I could've recovered because it truly was a big brute of a pig!

Amazing penetration
This product obliterated the lungs of every deer I have shot I’ve never had a problem with them opening. It’s actually almost impossible for them not to open they fly just like a field tip. They are super sharp and deer never run more than 50 yards. I tried to post pictures, but Amazon wouldn’t let me I would give 10 stars if I could.

Works great but sight in with real tip
My doe ran 30 yards big entrance and huge exit it true what the say i watched her drop cant beat that didn't have to even look for a blood trail. BUT i bought 2 packs both practice tips broke after 2 shots each they were 6" left of my target for 40 yards but they were vertically dead on so since they broke i went ahead and used the real one it was only 2" off at 40 yards so i made slight adjustment and its all good so the real heads fly similar to my 100 grain target tips but the practice heads suck. Do like them and will use them as i said in the beginning they work great just need a more reliable target tip Update i sent this same review in an email to grim reaper a day or so later i got an email back apologizing for my inconvenience and ask me if i could send pics of practice tip. I said no cause i threw them away. He said can you send me pic of the normal tips i said sure sent him the pics of my tips as proof of purchase. He ask for my address and said he was sending me new ones. You cant beat that customer service. I wasn't even looking for that i love the broad head just was giving them my 2 cents so they would improve the practice tip i will keep using them. Try them you will WATCH THEM DROP

Great broadheads. Make sure you choose the best size depending on your set up.
I have been using these broadheads for the past 5 or 6 years. They leave excellent blood trails provided that your hitting the right spots. Some folks have asked about the High Kinectic Energy needed. You need to calculate your kinetic energy. Grim Reaper recommends that you have at least 65 ft lbs of KE. They have a calculator on their website. You need to know your total arrow weight in grains including broadhead, nock, vanes and insert. You also need to know your arrow speed. There are several calculators online to approximate arrow speed without a chronograph. The reason this is important... I know from experience (previous bow)... If you do not have enough KE the whitetail special will not provide enough penetration depending on angle of impact. If you do not have enough KE go with 1 3/4" Grim Reapers as they worked great with my last bow. I am a huge fan of reapers. I love that I can replace individual parts if needed and the only time I had a problem was penetration with my previous bow and the whitetail special. Which I know of others having same issue. My current Mathews Creed set at 68lbs with 30 inch Gold Tip XT Hunter 7595 arrows has zero issues with penetration.
