How does this compare to the effect of the Inversion table?

The inversion tables are super uncomfortable and are a lot more expensive. The neck hammock concentrates on your neck so there is more of a pull/stretch. I've been using it for 5 years. Every time I feel strain or a crick coming I lay down and relax for as long as I can and it works. I highly recommend this product.

How many times in a day/week can I use this?

Hello, It depends on the user; we recommend starting at 10 minutes and working your way up from there. You can decrease the frequency and duration of the stretch as your range improves and the pain goes down. We like to compare this to improving hamstring flexibility. If you have REALLY tight hamstrings, then you are probably going to need to stretch them 2-3x a day for a few weeks to see permanent physical change. If you have relatively flexible hamstrings, then you probably only need to stretch them 3-4x per week. It's the same as your neck. If it's in bad shape, you may need to use 2-3x per day up to 15 minutes at a time. IF 15 minutes give you a headache, try to decrease the time and place the pad more towards the middle of your neck.

I don't see why not, it's a sturdy cloth. I would probably hand wash it.
