Cuisinart Cordless Electric Knife, Black

I use this knife frequently for slicing loaves of bread. It works extremely well for that purpose. It holds a charge for an extended period of time, slices through bread quickly (even with tough crusts on grain bread) and also works well for slicing large roasts, turkey etc. The safety switch and balance take a bit of getting used to, but overall it is an excellent performer! The fish slicing blade does not work well, but the regular blade does a good job on fish too, so not much is lost in that regard.

I had a electric knife about fifty years ago.This year I decided.to give it another chance. The knife is easy to use., comes with a carving blade and a surated blade set. It has a great storage box. It made slicing our turkey a breeze. I love the fact that it is cordless. If you are thinking of getting an electric knife you should look at this one. It if great.

So far so good Works as well as the corded knife which had a built in defect and burned out after prolonged use. I had returned three and decided cuisinart didn’t want to correct the problem. So far the CEK50 is good. Stay tuned. Continued use of the CEK 50 cordless reveals that it works very well and is superior to the corded model. There was no overheating and the case is very sound. This is what I wanted.

This is a beautiful product with two different types of easily removable knives – for cutting meets and more delicate items like cheese. The device charges quite easily. It’s intuitive to use. It quickly and very effectively cuts through any product I use it for. The blades removed very easily and are very easy to clean. I expect to be using this product for a very long time.

Serrated knives won't stay in knife..keep flying out..single blade knife seems to work ok...bought this because of the Cuisinart name but have learned my lesson.....for me, a total waste of money and would give it zero stars if that was an option.

first off they say the cheese blade is also the bread blade ?? not so the blade doesn't cut cheese very well and it was like using a butter knife to cut the bread. the pother blade is too bulky (it cuts the bread okay) but I bought this Knife mainly to carve Turkeys and ham and because my old electric filet knife died out after 15 years. I ask them why such a thick blade to carve I like to have a log narrow knife to carve meet this blade gives you no feel what soever I do sy its built pretty nice and solid.

My husband has been griping about our corded electric knife for years! He said battling the cord made the knife next to worthless. When I saw this one, I snapped it up for our 35th anniversary, and we are both in love. It is well made and easy to use. The blades are wicked sharp and have quickly cut up a turkey breast and boneless pork loin roast. We couldn't be happier.

What we dislike is holding the unlock button forward meaning that we have to hold on to it to cut the products. We used our for cutting homemade bread

I spent the extra $$$ for cordless and quiet operation. I was concerned that it might be too bulky but it is nicely balanced, easy to use and much quieter that the corded model reviews. Update Oct 9, 2020 Bought Sep 12, 2019 Took knife out to charge and could not insert blades. Past return date so tried to contact seller Golda's Kitchen. No answer to call. Web shows them out of business. BUYER BEWARE
