I am currently using it, and it does work. At first I was using it wrong, and it didn't work, so I stopped. My scalp got very irritated and red from the tapes, so I used Ghost Bond instead of tape, until my head cleared up. Tape is much easier and faster to use, so I finally went back to tape and followed a protocol every time I removed and reattached my hair system, and I now have a clear scalp. Here's what I do: I clean all residue off my skin with C-22, wash my scalp with Dawn dish soap 2X, wash my hair with regular color safe shampoo, use trimmers to clean hair stubbles of my scalp, dry with a clean towel, apply 91% alcohol on my scalp with a cotton ball to kill all bacteria, and then I apply Scalp Protector liberally, and let it dry until it's no longer tacky. I apply it to my whole scalp, even though I only tape the perimeter. I have not had any redness ever since I have followed this protocol. I recommend this product.

I have sensitive skin that causes me to break out in blisters if I use tape in extreme heat and sunny areas. I also have oily skin and when im hot I sweat. I tried everything from wig bond to paste to different brands of tape and it would either break me out or last a couple hours and my sweat would cause it to lift. I was going on a cruise and decided to try this and use tape. I was scared because I knew id be in the sun and risk the blisters again but......this actually worked for me. I cleaned my face with alcohol and applied 2 layers of this before applying the tape to my frontal. I made sure to wait until it was completely dry. after sticking down the tape I tied the area down with my scarf for a couple hours to make sure it stuck. my cruise was 9 days and I can say that I noticed a big difference. I didn't break out! also I didn't experience the "itch" u get when the lace rubs ur skin. it created a barrier that kept the irritation away. It caused the tape to stick longer than usual. I would normally have to re apply the tape everyday because of the sweat and my oily skin but I only re applied this 2 times in 9 day and that because I did get my hair wet. I recommend tying the area down every chance u get just to ensure it holds because OBVIOUSLY its not your real hair so treat it accordingly!

I always had a hard time keeping my hair to stay intact no matter what I used, I don't like glue because it's a hassle, so I use tape, but it wouldn't stay because I sweat alot so I decided to give this scalp protector a try because I seen people using it on YouTube. Not only does it protect your scalp from the tape (itching/irritation) but it helps the tape to bond for a longer period of time even if you sweat alot. I've gone from one day to almost one week and I'm very happy...will definitely purchase again. ( will hold lace longer if you tie it down at night) fyi
