Do u need one or two tabs at a time, does it work as well as affresh brand?

Run your washing machine on its hottest water setting (ideally at 95 degrees Celsius) using one tablet. Under normal circumstances this will clean out all the grime, limescale etc and leave your machine smelling really fresh. However, if any grime, limescale or unpleasant odor still remains, then simply run a second hot water cycle, using one more tablet, and this will remove any remaining bad odor, leaving your machine nice and fresh. These tablets are highly effective, so yes, you can expect results equal to or better than Affresh.
