Great for humidifiers.

Purchased these demineralization cartridges for our grandmother, to use in her humidifier that gets bad build-up & makes white dust. We choose this product because these are suppose to fix those two problems. We are extremely pleased with how well these work. When these arrived we were surprised at the size of them, since we tried others that were much longer & bigger around as well. These however work much better that the others we have tried & seem to last much longer also. We have purchased these twice since & every time they work the same. Before we left this review, we tried these cartridges out for months to make sure they worked as well as we thought they were working. These are suppose to work for atleast one month, but we have left them in for over 3 to see if the build-up or white discharge came back...it took about 100 days until we noticed anything. So we now change them 4 times a year or every 3 months. This might vary for some by the size of the humidifier or the hardness of their water. Pros: Great quality, that lasts longer than expected Reduces the white dust completely, no residue at all & Takes away all the water build-up, to save on extra humidifier cleaning Cons: None so far, and this is our third purchase Overall we love these demineralization cartridges and would recommend them to anyone with build-up or white residue problems. Our grandmother has recommended them to many of her friends & so have we. This is a product that does exactly as it is listed to do. Thank you for you time & interest in our review. While I use filtered water with these cartridges they do appear to reduce the remaining lime and red iron content in my well water. It would be really helpful if these had some sort of color changing feature to indicate when they should be replaced as I haven't been able to tell if a month, 3 months, or even 6 months is time to replace. For the price they seem to be useful so I'll continue adding one to my ultrasonic humidifier. I have tried other manufacturers and some were barely more than a little charcoal and a little polymer - these cartridges are nearly full with a small sachet of what appears to be polymer (swells when soaked in water). So I recommend buying these if you have used in the past.

I have been using these tablets since they came with my new humidifier. I still do get some mineral buildup, but that's only in the typical spots of the lower portion of the machine and at the spout. But these mineral buildup spots are relatively easy to clean versus if you did not have these tablets. I clean my humidifier about 1x a month and use a new tablet every time. My old humidifier with NO tablet I would clean about 2x a month and the cleaning process would be longer. These tablets are a great investment. Reduces mineral buildup and reduces cleaning time. P.S. If you have a water dispenser on your refrigerator, don't forget to replace the filter pre recommendations of the manufacturer. Or, if you use a water purifier pitcher, use water that water for your humidifier. It makes a HUGE difference!

They work fine in the machine.

I had high hopes from the reviews, but the proof is on our air purifier, which filters the air that our humidifier is putting into the air. Before the cartridges our air purifier would be completely white within a week, and after using the cartridge, I would say the white dust is about half of what it would be without the cartridges. At this point, I will probably go back to distilled water.😔

These are good to put in your humidifier so you want be seeing white dust all over your furniture and also I put 2 in each tank of one gallon of water and they work great for me going to order more for other humidifiers I have on my home

Work perfectly in my kettle. I have extremely hard water from my well. My kettle, (which is black) turns white on the inside in two days use until I put two of these in it. Going on a month now and still good!
