RS Berkeley UFL600 University Series Silver Plated Flute with Case and Accessories

Very generic flute. Seemed very lightweight and of poor quality. One of the bars on the B foot was crooked; appears to've been soldered on that way. It arrived with several small discolorations on the body, making me think the silver surface would look pretty bad in a only a short amount of time. Keys had limited action. Ad lists "accessories"; don't know what as it only came with the flute and the case. The case was nice-- hard inner case and a zippered leather, or leather-like, outer case. Beyond that, not much to recommend it. Product info lists an original price of $610.00, which is doubtful. Sales price is in the $200-$250 range and that seems more realistic in terms of matching the quality. I haven't shopped other silver-plated flutes, so I don't know if it's better or worse than others in that price range. Can't comment on the sound quality as I haven't played in years, but it didn't seem great. Perhaps good as an intro to the instrument, but I can't imagine it lasting long enough to be anything other than that.
