What material is the bag?

Hi, it is a type of plastic similar to the reusable bags people use in the grocery stores with the handles. It is not like the flimsy plastic bags in the checkout areas. It’s lasted a while for my daughter and she uses it quite often. Hope this helps

How long are the straps?

From the "handle" portion of the strap to where it attaches to the bag is 9 inches. It's really a great little bag. I also have the red and white one.
