EZwhelp EZclassic Medium Dog Whelping Box with Rails, 38" x 38" x 18", Gray Pad

We’ve now used the EZ Whelping Box for two litters, and it’s been a lifesaver both times. Setup and takedown couldn’t be simpler—it honestly takes less than 5 minutes. The panels fit together easily, it’s sturdy once assembled, and cleanup is straightforward. I also love that it stores flat when not in use, so it doesn’t take up extra space. If you’re looking for a whelping box that saves you time and stress while keeping your puppies safe and comfortable, this is the one. Highly recommend!

After purchasing a cheaper brand x whelping box that didn't last very long, I decided to purchase a whelping box from EZwhelp. The whelping box exceeded my expectations regarding how well it is designed and made. And, additionally how easy it was to assemble. I do like the placement of the entrance and how easy it is to adjust how low or high the entrance needs to be. The pad that comes with the whelping box is a great fit for the bottom and stays in place. Our Australian Shepherd "Minnie" and her pups sure like their new EZwhelp whelping box. And a shout out to Jamie Fitz for helping to resolve a small issue that arose due to shipping.

I bought the 48x48 classic EZ Whelp and it nicely fits my 164 lb English Mastiff and here 3 newborn puppies. The bumpers are high enough for them to get under (each puppy was born at approx 1.5 to 1.8 lbs) Then bumpers have already saved them more than once. The box is HEAVY upon arrival so have someone that can lift it. It comes nicely packaged and no parts were damaged. It was very easy to put together. I've been wiping it down daily with bleach wipes and it is easy to clean although you do have to get into the honeycomb grooves. Those groves are what make it strong! The photo does show one of the extra 2 pads I bought. The one that comes with it is slightly a lighter gray and a slightly different material. I would suggest getting a couple replacement pads so you always have one handy while washing another. I don't think this will hold all the puppies the entire 8 weeks but for the first month it will be a life saver and has already saved us in puppies not getting squished. Easy to take apart and store between litters.

This whelp box is a must if your dog has puppies. It’s high quality and very sturdy. The entrance/exit can be lowered or raised which is great when the pups start playing. I like that it can be cleaned as needed.

My two frenchies had their puppies at the same time so I wanted something better to keep them in. They have a habit of laying on their puppies so the extra guard was a literal life saver. I love the materials of everything: walls, pad, bottom protector. Very easy to clean and everything held up very well. Extremely waterproof. I was hesitant on having this on the carpet but it kept it 100% clean and nothing soaked through. Easy to put together and the size worked. I wish it was slightly bigger. The multiple door slides came in handy, I didn’t realize how handy the different heights would come in handy. Take down is also very easy and fits back in the box for storage.

The set up was fast and easy for one person to do- so is disassembly and clean up is as easy as taking the dirty section outside or place in bathtub and hose off! No need to take the whole thing apart (unless you want to!). Easy to disinfect since there are no hidden corners or crevices. Easy to store since it comes apart in small sections. Heavy duty / built to last BUT very light weight! Love the heavy duty pig rail and the fact that it is easily removable, easy to clean, easy to take apart to store. The added "fitted" protective sheet is awesome! I wasn't expecting that! And the padded liquid resistant whelping pad is awesome and easy to launder. I do have a couple of suggestions for the company though. Please consider the following: 1- end caps top and bottom for the connectors rubberized or plastic as long as they are sturdy and easy to get on/off for people but not pets! 2- accessories such as heat lamp poles that fit into the connectors; height extenders made of panels of welded wire that fit into the connectors for keeping momma and later- babies in the whelping box so that we don't have to monkey with pens surrounding the box. Over all- well worth the money!!!!

So I’ve had this for a year. I absolutely love the design. It is extremely adorable easy to put together and take apart no screws necessary. It may be a little more pricey than some of the other ones are the quality as well worth it and you can connect them together I love the waterproof bottom that comes with save your floors. A lot of problems. If you get the right size pads, you shouldn’t have any problems about debris getting under the side walls. I also bought a heated pad and put it all the way under the bottom so it could not get wet. I thought that these used to come with holders for a camera or attachments, but I can’t find them, but was absolutely the best box I have gotten. I have Brad high-quality golden retrievers for over 40 years. This is my number one pic for welding.

The panels have a honeycomb type pattern and when puppies are a few weeks old this creates a cleaning nightmare. At about 6 weeks the puppies can climb out and over the walls. It’s great for the first couple of weeks. I would recommend finding a whelping box with flat panels or construction. Will be much easier to keep clean and sanitary. The mat shrunk with the first washing. It doesn’t fit a 48x48 inch box.

Quality whelping box. Head and shoulders above the rest if I am honest.

We loved the unit to the point where we even ordered the expansion unit only to realize to get the fitted P pads and under pads were so expensive that it was not possible and they do not come with it. Best check the easy Welp website for particulars before ordering
