Anyone hook this to a K40 laser

It is not a job for the faint of heart but yes. Documentation is hard to find and the info you need will be distributed across several websites and forums. Wiring is not all plug and play so you will need to remove factory connectors and install new connectors/adapters. I removed the power control board from the K40 and use the DLC32 V2 exclusively to control power levels because I did not find a way to use both.  I’m running Lightburn now and ironing out the kinks. This was a big job for a novice like me but it is 100% possible. I think this would be a much easier job with a different power supply but I got the “white” k40 power supply instead of the “green”(these are the colors of the connectors on the power supply, not the shell). Green would have been easier and I suspect an aftermarket power supply might even be easier still. Good luck, I hope this helps!

Our package is generally paired with the A4988 driver.
Generally, the current driven by the actual situation.
The maximum current driven by the A4988 is 2A. Generally, it is best not to set it to the maximum current. The rated current of the motor is 70-80%.

There seems to be many bugs in the firmware. how often are they addresses by the developers? i can't use the web page when an sd card is inserted.

no idea on the updates but the sd card will prevent you from using the usb interface for some reason
