Loved using this product, testimonial from a not-craft first timer
Yup, Iโm hooked. I am the worst painter and with a sponge brush, there were no lines. My husband is a builder and hates when I paint because he feels it is a reflection on him when people come in the house. BUT if I waited for him to paint, forget it. So I paint sometimes. Iโve gotten better but still not up to his standards. Also, he has been opposed to all this chalk paint DIY thatโs been the new rage, he was so opposed to anything that would chip off or need yearly waxing. Heโs just all about his Ben Moore. Anyway, I had an awful vanity that needs to be replaced. Itโs the type that is surfaced in that wood look shiny paper. We arenโt replacing until next year and I hate looking at the eyesore when the rest of the bathroom is so nice and done. I said, screw it, I canโt make it worse, so I informed him I was going to try chalk paint. His response was fine, at least we can wash it off before it cures when you realize how bad it will look. So I set out, fully prepared that he would be disappointed, lol but what the heck, try new things. First off, my vanity was NOT the ideal surface for painting and even less ideal probably for chalk paint. Completely non porous. I degreased as recommended. So it took me at least 4 coats to cover because of the surface material (slick, paint doesnโt absorb). For reference, I painted a small wood item, too - a tissue box - and it looked great from coat one and the second coat was perfection. So itโs all about the surface when it comes to coats. Anyway, when I was done, my husband came in and said - wow - thatโs the best paint job youโve ever done. LoL. Funny, because I literally was SO messy doing this. It was Friday, working from my home office on quarantine, and there was a bottle of wine involved (it was a stressful work from home day full of COVID related complications at work, we are in an epi-center and that day really sucked for someone to working in HR in an essential industry). I was basically hitting it every 2 hours (the wine and the painting), breaking all the rules of painting, just to get away from my desk. But it was my best work ever, according to him, haha. And it really DOES look good - it almost looks sprayed on. I cannot take the credit for that, at all - this was not skill, this was entirely product!! So smooth. And the color is GREAT! Highly pigmented, Abbey is a perfect dark greige (is it brown, is it charcoal - who knows?! It works great with our weather barnwood and transitional/loft style master bath decor). Very easy clean up, too - again, I was drinking wine and by coat 3, I was really not caring about coloring inside the lines. Cleaned right up from the white tile and white painted walls, no staining. I mean, I donโt recommend being as careless as I was, Iโm just saying that a wayward drop of paint didnโt destroy what it landed on, and I didnโt have to prep for protection anywhere near what I do with latex. And it dries super fast (yet didnโt dry out in the paint tin I was using for application). The only downside - and itโs probably mostly to do with the surface material, 100% - easy to chip in spots. Again, considering the surface material will not grip it like a wood, thatโs not the paints fault. What I did was to hit it that weekend with 3 coats of General Finishes flat top coat (thatโs the good stuff and highly recommended by woodworkers as a top coat and reviewed as best overall top coat for chalk paint - speciality item, wonโt find it at Home Depot). I spent the extra $ on it because I was so happy with my cheap little chalk paint job that I wanted to give it respect! Haha, true though - I want to keep it looking as good as it does. So while you are supposed to not need a wax or a top coat, I did use one - but you may not need one on a better surface. I am using the rest of my paint to do a porous wood hamper - I may not need a top coat with the wax built into this product and a surface that will accept paint. Anyway back to my builder husband. Mind you, when I say builder, he builds million dollar homes and multi-million dollar remodels in the Boston area. Best quality of everything for these people, weโre talking $1000 shower heads. Ya, I know, youโd think I wouldnโt be refinishing a crappy $200 vanity in my own home, but thatโs how it goes with someone who doesnโt want to work when they get home from work and I have to force to be house-proud. He can build amazing things but he could care less about whether his home decor is outdated from 30 years ago. Anyway, he has decided that he is going to chalk paint our sleigh bed and bureaus now. Heโs going to do it because even though my work was โgreatโ, imagine how great it will be if he does it (heโs not wrong, just a little full of himself lol). I wanted to buy a new set and I still do, but at least now our old one will match the master remodel we are finishing up until I can get one. It wonโt be an eyesore to me every time I walk in the finished room and think about how I have to wait to replace it. Weโre going to try antiquing this time for a weather look. Iโm sure it will be lovely. Anyway, if youโre thinking about diving into chalk paint, I recommend this brand very much. Iโm not sure I would have had the same experience with other brands that seem to have a lot more of a learning curve and a lot more steps involved. Plus Heritage has a ton of examples on their website to give you inspiration. I may even try their gel stain next (just wish they still offered it in Carbon, whatโs up with only the one color, Heritage?). I may even join their monthly club for the new colors. Lots of fun, Iโm seeing a lot of projects with this product!!

Great new color for baseboards-- Check!
Great experience with this paint. I was concerned of the paint color, that it would be too red however after hours later it turned to be the color I had expected. It's beautiful! It's easy to apply and easy to clean. And unexpectedly, the little can turned out to yield more than I thought. Excellent product! I will buy more for other projects around the house. Love it and I know you'll love it too!!

Fantastic paint! Saves time and money!
Absolutely love this All in One paint by Heirloom! Itโs so easy to use and just as advertised, no prep before other than cleaning your piece prior to painting. Our vintage home came with a beat up, run down, ugly workbench in the garage. I needed a place to work on my antique doll restoration projects so I first went to work trying to make my work space look better. I just couldnโt โfeelโ myself working at the ugly and dirty workbench. I painted the entire bench and cabinets with this beautiful green paint. I used two coats because the entire workbench was partially painted a dark brown, so bad! ๐คขWow! What a difference this paint makes! Now I work in my fresh work space feeling much more inspired. Well worth the money! It saved me time and money by not having to sand, put on a separate primer, and then paint. Highly recommend this paint! Before and after photos included.

I am a picky painter and the product is the bomb!
Ok, so I kept this one in my cart for a year back when I purchased my home. And in my Amazon shopping cart it sat until last week when I could not stand looking at my bathroom any longer. FYI I get nothing from these reviews other then to help others who are in the same boat at me! I decided to get busy with the ugly 90's bathroom. This is one of those bathrooms that you left feeling worse then when you came in. Yea... bathrooms are not supposed to be that way. I wanted to personalize it and give it a touch of class and bring it up to date. I did not have the funds or the interest in ripping out the new vanity and having to do drywall repair behind it so I finally decided to take the plunge and paint it. Honest review on the paint and let me get right down to it. It works very well. The coverage is great. I am a fairly experienced painter but mainly interior walls, so I am not new to paint. Please follow the instructions in using the sponge application then pounce on it, let it dry for an our and repeat. I did 3 coats. Personally I think that is what you should expect to do. I did not prime it, but I did a fine sand then I used Krud cutter to remove any residue. The color is very rich, deep and I appreciate the zero odor the paint puts out. I was thinking that since it had no odor maybe it was not good but I was wrong. This is really good stuff. It cleans up well with soap and water even if you mess up and it drips. Tips: 1. Buy the sponge that is intended for this product. It is a must 2. Buy one of those paint brushes to pounce with, it make all the difference 3. Use 3 coats on a heavily used area such as bathroom vanity or kitchen cabinets 4. Let it cure for 30 days. It will be dry to the touch in about 2 hours, safe to gently touch but a full 30 days will allow it to get solid. Go for it!!!

Nice paint to work with
I really like the ease of application this paint provides with minimal prep work. The colors are pleasing, the odor low, and cleanup is a breeze. Perhaps I paint thinly, but it did take at least 3, or sometimes 4 coats to achieve a smooth finish no matter what surface I was working on or the method of application. As for durability, only time will tell if it can hold up to frequent cleansing and bumps in an active kitchen. But overall, I am satisfied and will consider using again in the future.

BEST NO VOC paint for inside your home !
The best paint to use for furniture. As they state, no sanding, priming, etc. Nothing, just paint it on carefully. If what you are painting is an item you want to keep forever, do it right the first time and buy the best. It leaves a perfect luxurious finish that will not peel in the future. I personally like this brand because it is low or no VOC. As a person with breathing issues, I cannot smell ANY paint inside a house. I must have everything painted outside and brought in WEEKS (no joke, weeks !) later. This being VOC (no volatile chemicals) there is NO smell. I can literally paint it myself now INSIDE my home. Even had an entire wall in my bedroom done by someone awhile back while I was inside the room and had NO breathing problems. VOC is more expensive, but not breathing is more !!

Great quality and awesome paint for cabinets.
Great quality paint that does exactly what I needed. I researched best paint to cover my dated 90โs golden oak cabinets. Came across this paint as the best choice. I bought a Quart size can to redo my hall cabinet and it used almost the full can. It took 3 coats, and came out amazing. Total project time from start to finish was just about two days to let each coat dry fully. The application method I found best was first coat use sponge, and all other coats use foam roller. Photos of before, 1st, 2nd, and final coat. For all in at $113(paint, supplies, hardware) it definitely upgraded the looks and feel in the hallway.

Painting game changer!!!!
I bought this paint after reading some reviews. I was going to paint my builder grade bathroom cabinets. I really didn't want to have to go through the whole sanding process, especially after I did that with another nameless brand in another bathroom and it was miserable. Also the other brand paint didn't really hold up that well and had started chipping/scratching after only about 2 days. I bought this and immediately was thinking it was a splurge based on the size of the container and the price. I thought this was going to be gimmicky, but I'd give it a try. I have to eat my own words because this is hands down THE BEST PAINT I HAVE EVER USED. I have painted so many things in my life and I am now 100% sold on this. Literally everything about this product is worth it! First of all, the can is the nice plastic material that is so much easier to open/close than metal cans. There are pretty much no fumes associated with it - something that I didn't even really think about or notice while using (which just goes to show you how non-noxious this was if you aren't even noticing it at all). The paint application was just top-notch. The consistency is thicker (but not too thick) and smooth. It is not runny/drippy and also doesn't splatter easily. The coverage is very consistent and just looks fantastic. And while I thought the can was "small" - a little goes a long way with this paint. I painted the entire cabinet in the bathroom and only used about 1/4 of the can. I literally think I did 1 full coat and then I just went back and touched up some areas just to make sure I had a full coverage. Also the color is very true. I got Iron Gate which is black....but it's a nice creamy charcoal black. It has a lot of depth to it. I am actually really excited to try some of their grey colors because I have had poor luck with true greys at big box stores.. This is hands down the best paint I've ever used.
