SO NICE, BOUGHT IT TWICE
The best pan I have ever bought! I always use this outdoors and sometimes at home. The handle can be removed easily and the pan could even be used in an oven for baking. Very solid and durable. Comes with a lid cover which works great when the pan has cooled down so that you can cover left over food in the pan to protect it from insect and other critters.

Favorite skillet so far. If only one could buy just the pan, that would be great.
I have had this kit for 1 year, and use the pan at home and on the trail. The pan may be a little heavy for some because of the thick base, but for me, the physical size, durability, and usefulness far exceeds the weight. Most all the components in the kit are very useful. The plastic lid being the only exception. The lid would not stay securely attached to the pan and is essentially useless in regard to cooking. The plates, utensils, and cutting board are nice features. I have used all of them periodically throughout the past year while camping. I especially liked the 2-piece spatula design. For the most part, an excellent kit that Stanley has put together. I have recommended this cook set to others, as well as the Stanley adventure cook set and the adventure prep w/cook set. I would say that Stanley's Adventure series cook sets are a great value. Would be even better if one could buy individual components instead of the complete kits. Now, for my personal preferences, I have gradually removed or replaced every item that comes with the pan from my backpack kit. Useless plastic lid replaced with MSR Alpine plate. The alpine plate also negates the need for the plastic plates. Although the spatula is a nice feature, I replaced that with a small stainless steel spatula that I made. I use a titanium spoon & fork set, so the supplied utensils are of no use to me. The cutting board was also removed, being too small for my uses. The silicon trivet isn't something I would never use anyway, so that was removed as well.

If you ever wanted a kitchen quality fry pan but designed for camping.
This pan is awesome. It's built like an actual fry pan with 3 layers of metal (stainless steel/aluminum/stainless steel) on the bottom of the pan to help evenly distribute heat across the entire cooking surface and it actually works pretty well. I mean this is no All-Clad level of frying pan BUT in the camp cookware world this is the best your going to get. Even from pricier brands. Every single camp fry pan that I have seen are all made out of one thin sheet of metal. This is bad because when cooking that thin metal will not distribute heat evenly causing you to burn one area of your food while the other might be cooked properly or under cooked. This imo is the only camp fry out there worth what you pay for it. If this was made by MSR you'd be paying a whole a lot more for this level of quality. Now certain things WILL stick to it like scrambled eggs. If you are FRYING an egg and you don't want it to stick you need to use butter. When you put the butter in the pan wait for the butter to melt. While it's in it's "melted phase" you will see the butter bubbling. Wait for this bubbling to stop. That bubbling is water boiling off from the butter. Once the bubbling has stopped there is no more water in the butter THEN you can put your cracked in the pan and it should not stick or at least not stick as bad. This works in full size pans too. You may need to season this skillet to help prevent sticking. I know it's stainless steel and you don't need to season stainless or what ever but you can get little bit of a seasoning on this skillet. It will help with the sticking.

Handle stays much cooler than one would expect
This little guy comes with alot of perks, but the kit together and the weight and thickness of the product are what make me wanna keep it. The handle is robust enough to work with, and seems to stay relatively cooler to touch when using it over the fire. It will get hot if you let it sit under direct flames but for the most part it works well and they even give you a silicone mat/pot holder if you need it

Perfect and compact
This is perfect for shore lunch after fishing. Heavy duty, sturdy, cleans nice, heats evenly, and goes back together with ease. I do wish the lid sealed a little tighter though.

Another high quality product from Stanley
There are many reviews of the quality of this pan. I agree with them all. This pan is heavier than most and that's a good thing. When set on a stove, this pan will stay put. My only complaint is the sporks are garbage. They seem to be made of cheaper flimsier plastic than the spatula. They're so cheap and flimsy, I would not use them at all. I recently purchased the 4-person cook set from Stanley. That set came with 4 bowls and 4 sporks. The sporks that came in that set are smaller and nice quality. The sporks in this set are larger, cheap, and flimsy. The plates, cutting board and trivet are really nice quality. The cutting board being far nicer than I thought it'd be. One thing the reviews don't point out that might be worth noting. The handle can easily be removed completely and stowed inside the cook set. Thus making the set slightly more compact.

Better than expected
Smaller than expected but it’s all in how you use it. -yeah. The pan is very heavy duty, feel sturdy, has a little heft to it for its size, worked exceptionally well for browning pork chops, making eggs, and reheating left over steak. Make sure you slide the little lock thing forward or the pan will fold on you while handling it- which sucks when cooking. Don’t ask me how I know. The plates are pretty small, definitely not US person meal sized plates. Sporks and spatula work well too. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase as a 1 person car-camp set up. It goes well with my other Stanley camping gear. If I was a backpacker, I would think this is a bit of a heavy kit as again, the pan does have some heft to it.

This solved all my cooking problems for camping. I love it! It works so well! And you even get a chopping board thrown in. The spatula is sturdy and the pan is thick and ideal for cooking. Not flimsy or cheap. Excellent product!

This is the perfect compact camping setup. You could cook up burgers, or steak or a stir fry for dinner, and do bacon and eggs for breakfast. A pan really is a nice solution. The spatula is good quality, and frankly the sporks are perfectly serviceable too. Nice to have a compact cutting board, and the rubber trivet/pot grabber. Plates are a little small, but whatever they worked. The only thing missing would be a bag or case or something so you don't get black campfire soot on your stuff. Easy enough to make something I guess, and add a little bit of room for collapsible sea to summit cups and it's everything you need. This isn't for ultralight backpacking, it weighs a bit, but the quality is fantastic, and it worked for motorcycle camping where i needed super compact but weight wasn't a concern.

Well built pan which I am sure will take years of hard knocks out in the outdoors. And indeed as advertised, the cooking is very even due to the aluminium layer on the bottom of the pan.
