Would this work with a porwer star central vacuum system?

I just got mine but the On/off button doesnt work. Do i need to unlock it? Or its defective

As you probably know the outlet of your central vac has the electrical pinouts & wires to connect to your hose handle, if your system is working properly & the connections on the outlet are all intact, the system should turn on as soon as you put the on-off button in the "On" position, otherwise your hose handle may be at fault. A good indicator is if your system was working before changing the hose, then the problem is with the hose.

What amp/voltage does this work with?

Hi, this kit works with low-voltage. Inside your wall inlets, you must have 2 low-voltage pins in order to have the on-off switch to work.
