Wolverine 1982
It took me way too long to get to this Claremont and Miller yarn, but late is better than never. Excellent art, excellent story. The deluxe edition comes with two X-Men stories that follow the Wolverine solo title. Worth your time and money!

A definite must for Wolverine fans! Don't mind about the mediocre cover page.
A standout feature of this collaboration lies in Wolverine's nuanced character development. Claremont skillfully peels back layers of Logan's personality, depicting him not just as a formidable warrior but delving into internal struggles and emotional conflicts. This narrative depth adds a profound dimension to Wolverine, fostering relatability among readers. Frank Miller's artistic contribution is truly exceptional. His gritty and atmospheric illustrations seamlessly complement Claremont's narrative, effectively capturing the intensity and raw power of Wolverine's battles. Miller's adept use of shadow and meticulous detailing in each panel enhances the overall mood, immersing readers in a visually stunning experience. The limited series introduces memorable supporting characters, such as the formidable ninja assassin Yukio and the mysterious Mariko Yashida. These additions not only enrich the narrative but also serve as catalysts for Wolverine's personal growth and transformation. Meticulously choreographed action sequences showcase Wolverine's combat skills with precision, creating a visually dynamic experience. Miller's ability to convey motion and intensity in each fight scene heightens the excitement and suspense, keeping readers enthralled throughout the series. Claremont and Miller's collaborative work on Wolverine stands as a testament to the enduring allure of the character. Their partnership transcends traditional superhero storytelling, delivering a mature and introspective exploration of Wolverine's psyche. Even decades after its initial release, this limited series remains a cornerstone of Wolverine's mythology, essential for comic book enthusiasts seeking a fusion of compelling narrative and visually striking artwork.
