Works really well
There are some bike wheel and tyre combinations that can be a real pain to fit. Using normal tyre levers they can be hard to remove but the same tyre going back on can be almost impossible. By chance I saw a Youtube video of some using one of these and it looked pretty effective so I took a punt with one of these. It needed some thought as one of these is several times more expensive than even some "named" levers from say Park Tools (which mine are). However I'll be honest - this is a revelation. Once you have worked out how to use to remove and install tyres (you use it differently depending what you're doing) it is really quite easy. I did need to read the simple instructions the first Getting the tyre off relies on hooking the short edge under one of the beads (it took a bit of a knack I found) but once that was done the and the tool run round the rim the tyre was off. To get a tyre on you get one side of the bead on first as normal and then mount the tool on the rim and basically push it round and the bead is pushed on. It did get quite tight near the end but there's plenty of area to push on and I got a tyre on in about 2 minutes that had taken over 10 minutes or so using the "traditional" method and my thumbs were still in one piece This is now my go to tool for tyre mounting. Don't worry about the price and whether it'll work - it will and really well. I am a convert

Tire removal made easy
This is a great little product and an invaluable tool to have in your kit if you change bike tires on a regular basis. If your one of those crazy cyclists like me who changes tires two or three times a year, wet weather, dry weather and all season tires for those unpredictable months buy this tool.. you will not regret it! Why did no one invent this 30 years ago?, the struggles it would have saved me. This is tire removal and installation made easy. It’s made of a strong plastic and feels very comfortable in hand. There is a short learning curve but after using it once it becomes second nature. No more struggling with six to eight tire levers worrying about damaging the tire beading, just hook it under the tire and start sliding. I’ve taken too carrying it with me on rides incase I get a puncture and need to install a fresh inner tube on the go. Nothing worse than sitting on a curb side struggling with a tire, we’ve all been there I’m sure.

Works Really Well
Frankly, I was a bit sceptical about this little tool but it really does work. Yesterday, I finally got around to fitting the winter tyres to my hybrid. The winter tyres (Vittoria Revolution Graphene) are notably heavier and stiffer than their summer equivalents and, in the past, I have ended up with sore thumbs and, in one case, having to get the LBS to fit them. As anyone who works on bikes knows, getting a tyre off is comparatively easy - it's getting it back on that is difficult, especially the last few centimeters of bead onto the rim. People have been known to employ zip ties, detergent and even hairdryers to get the tyre on. I got three tyres (had to refit one as I fitted it the wrong way around initially) on at the first attempt with the Tyre Glider - easily the best and fastest result I've ever had. I did worry that I might pinch-flat the tube and have to start again, as that has happened in the past as I've heaved at a tyre lever to get the last section of bead over the rim. But no, tubes were fine. I've deducted a point for ease of use, as getting the blade under the bead can be tricky because it is quite wide. Also, you do need a fair bit of force to move the tool around the rim to get that last bit of bead over the rim when installing the tyre - pulling back and shoving to get a bit of momentum going seems to help. Overall though, this is a superb tool that works FAR better than traditional tyre levers and takes up no more space in your saddle bag than a set of tyre levers. I've already bought another one.

It worked during my test runs
Having struggled this weekend with two separate punctures on a Mb and my road bike using traditional plastic tyre levers I thought I would try one of these. Actually it was 11pm on a Saturday night after a number of drinks that I placed the order, and I was surprised when it arrived at 12 noon the next day on a Sunday all ready for me to try. Packaging was all cardboard and minimal. After reading the minimal instructions, I tried it on my mountain bike. There is a knack to getting the leaver under the bead, but once there a push around the rim the whole tyre came off. To refit there is a little notch in the lever that fits over the rim. Again fit the lever onto the rim and push around the rim, job done. Yes it was easier than tyre levers. Have not yet tried it on a 700c23 continental which are tough but am sure it will make the job a lot easier. Although an expensive little bit of plastic, if it makes my life easier once in while, I will be a happy boy.

Perhaps not for ATB / hybrid style bikes?
Held lots of promise in making swapping inner tubes quick & easy while out for a ride. Broke on first use, leaving a snapped off and sharp piece of plastic between the tyre and the tube. Such a shame, I thought it was going to be a game changer...
