EWA A109mini Bluetooth Speaker with bass Radiator, Enhanced Impactive Bass, Portable Loud Speake, Perfect Travel Wireless Speaker for Home, Hiking and More

Was truly surprised with the great sound quality coming from this tiny, tiny speaker! Love the fact that I can put my music on a tiny SD card and insert it into the speaker to make it totally self-contained. It can stream from my phone, but I like it being self-contained and only draining one battery instead of two.The only things I don't like is the fact that when it starts-up, it starts playing my music as the highest volume possible; and also when you try to adjust the volume, the volume goes up or down way too quickly.Still, I would definitely recommend this speaker.EDIT: This edit is being written in July of 2023. I just received my 3rd speaker, as the previous 2 seem to die after 2 years each (the battery just kinda gives up -- you can still use it if you plug in a power source via usb if you like). If you're wondering, I use this pretty much 5 days a week, on and off throughout the day (maybe a total of around 6 hours per day).Bought my first one in March of 2019. A year later I was out of work for the pandemic (and didn't use the speaker at all until returning to work a year later).Bought my second one in August of 2021, and my current one in July of 2023.I kinda forget if my first speaker had any issues. My 2nd speaker had a semi-faulty button which didn't always respond when pushed. It also paused for a few seconds between every song, which was a little annoying.My current (3rd) speaker starts up a lot faster then #2 did, and there is no pause between songs. So that's nice. But there is another difference, and I'm not sure if it is good or bad. This new speaker doesn't automatically shut down like #2 did. #2 would turn itself off if I left it on pause for a couple of minutes. Not sure if that helped to save the battery life or not.I was tempted to knock off a star since they all seem to last only 2 years each, but then again, they are so cheap, it doesn't seem like that big a deal to just buy a new one. Maybe when I hit retirement age, I can collect enough of them to build a tiny house for myself...

People I show this to are pretty amazed by the clarity and bass response. It has its own little passive woofer! I have taken this traveling internationally...island hopping...it has been dropped from a decent height one or two times. Still chugging along!My only slight criticism is the exterior easily gets scratched up if you put it in your pockets with anything else. Of course, the woofer and selector button could get damaged too if you're not careful. The design is beautiful, so it's a shame that this can happen over time.Sea water splashed onto the speaker and it stopped working temporarily. However, I realized that it was just the SD card feature that got shorted out by the water. The bluetooth still works perfectly!I would also love to see a little loop where you can add a lanyard and attach it to your belt loop or something.Overall though, I still give it 5 stars. Not show-stopping bass, but for this TINY size, what it CAN do it quite amazing. Perfectly balanced crisp treble and tight little bass.

I bought this to use in my office at work, and it is pretty decent and the small size is great. The sound quality isn't amazing but for listening to music at my desk, it's ok with it being a smaller space and not cranking the volume. The battery life isn't terrible but could be better, it also can't play music when it's plugged in to charge so that's kind of annoying. I plug it into my computer instead of a wall outlet because that's easier, maybe that's the issue but I dunno. Overall some nice features that make it worth the price.

Get more value than what you paid for. I'm mightily impressed with this little micro speaker. It gets crazy loud. It's very hefty, most likely to keep it in place due to the passive bass woofer, and seems to be made to be robust. I'll update if it is actually as robust as it feels.

These incredibly tiny EWA speakers are amazing. I own both the A106 and A109mini. Not a paid for review. I got one of the EWA model A106 on a whim due to its sale price. I was intrigued to hear it because of its very tiny size, because it has a metal case, and because of the breakout photo that show it has both a DSP chip (sophisticated computer chip that lets the manufacturer better control the sound quality) and a passive bass radiator (which allows much more bass from small speakers).I was really amazed when it showed up. Very tiny, very heavy for its size, and the sound was better than most speakers 3 times the size. You can actually enjoy music on it as long as it is not too bass heavy. My friend was so impressed I had to give it to him for his trip to Spain. It is replacing an "Oontz" speaker that is much larger and this sounds almost as good.I decided to try the A109mini to replace my A106, and I like this A109Mini a bit better. NOTE, there is also an EWA model A109 which is larger and different from this A109Mini They are almost identical in size, weight, and sound quality. The 106 comes with a carry case and this A109 does not. However, the A106 has almost no controls on it. You cannot pause the music, or adjust the volume from the speaker. This A109 has a very handy multi-direction control switch that allows you to skip tracks, pause the music, and adjust the volume up and down. It has other functions as well that I have not tried, but I like not having to grab my phone to pause the music. I have not tried the TFcard playback, but if you want to use it totally without a phone that is a good option. The bluetooth on both the A106 and A109mini works great. I am very pleased and these little speakers really surprise every who sees and hears them.

Holy Smokes! This little guy sure packs a wallop! I wasn't expecting this kind of sound with this kind of power behind it! Seriously, I purchased this one and one that's 3 times bigger, the LINGYI Model V9. When I played them side by side, this tiny one sounded WAY better. The sound is kind of like being in a concert hall with some clear sounding bass along with the high notes. I'm seriously impressed and highly recommend it.Only con I can think of is that it's not easily portable, like with a carrying pouch or the ability to add a lanyard on it. If it had that, then it would definitely take it to the next level.Other than that, I definitely give this 5 stars!===== Update 11/17/2020 =====I tell you, 2020 was truly one year for the history books. It was the year the pandemic hit, the year millions lost their jobs because of it, the year the violent protest erupted due to racial injustice, and the year my little EWA pocket woofer kicked the bucket. Curse you 2020! Curse you!If you look closely at the pictures, you'll notice the big gaping, rectangular hole. That's where the pertruding power button used to be. Since it stuck out like a little sore thumb, I guess it made it the target of breakage. My wife loved taking this little speaker wherever she went, so she'd always put it in her purse. But this last time, when she took it out, she noticed the little plastic power button was not there and just a hole remained.Haven't been able to turn it on at all and I'm so bummed because I loved this little speaker.Wish I could contact the manufacturer because it hasn't been a year just yet. Oh well, all good things come to an end.

This speaker is decent I guess but head to head with the EWA A106Pro model it fails miserably. It’s lighter weight and a little smaller than the 106, waterproof— but the sound is much more tinny and compressed, and it moves itself around on the table with the bass. I bought them both, played the same song on both, and the choice was clear. For audio quality, pick the 106.

I am slowly warming to smaller Bluetooth speakers as an alternative to only relying on top end units that make you almost weep when they are listened to - and purchased. Always scoffing at the smaller speaker, I have been pleasantly surprised at some of the smaller counterparts in both quality and price.This was bought specifically to bring a Christmas village to life with festive music and it worked like a charm. It arrived in an unusually large box with charger cable and instructions. The bluetooth works flawlessly and the micro SD/TF card slot makes it independent of a BT source too and once added, it created a great ambience for the village. Obviously the choice of music did not put it through its paces but trying some heavy 70s Jazz fusion and 80s funk bass lines through it - at volume - certainly did. It sounded surprisingly good and at volume, the speaker did have a life of its own. Taking off the protective film from the rubber feet helped suppress the movement though :-)Since Christmas it has been in a rucksack on travels and I find so much better than the inbuilt phone or tablet speakers. I am really pleased with it. Apart from the SD slot, there are basic functions for volume/mute and also selfie pic activation which could be handy for some.I think the packaging could be more practical...perhaps doubling up as a carry bag - as it does not have one. However, for the price I think it is a great buy - and I will be replacing it in a heartbeat if this one gets lost or damaged.
