Great product - Addicting
I am really enjoying this cutter. The good news is, it works as they say it works. The bad news is, collecting dies can be really addicting. My cutter came with a cloth dust cover, the flying geese die, pattern book, and a 6X12 cutting mat. As I said, collecting dies can be addicting, so I have purchased many more dies. The machine is easy to use - there is no learning curve for use of the machine with its dies and the pattern books make it easy to just make something, giving you fabric requirements, which dies to use, how many to cut, etc. When I received my machine, I set it up all anxious to 'learn'. I pulled out a bunch of scrap material. I followed the short instructions (cover the die you want to cut, making sure you cross the cutting lines, and that the fabric goes into the machine on the lengthwise grain). Perfectly cut pieces came out the other end so much for the 'learning' curve. I had to figure out what to make almost immediately because the learning was over. It can cut up to 6 layers of cotton, less of different fabrics, but they give you a list. Another great thing, is the cuts are always precise, so not only does the machine save you time, it saves material.

The cutting mats do not come with the dies.
First of all, I LOVE MY ACCUQUILT GO! It is very easy to use and quickly makes your fabric into wonderful shapes. HOWEVER, The die's cutting mats do not come with the dies? It is very disappointing for newbies to open their machine only to find out when you have bought other dies with your machine, you cannot use them until you make another purchase of the cutting mat. Why don't you guys consider grouping the dies with the appropriate mat and sell them as a bundle? I can tell we will have to buy extra mats in the future, but at least we would know about sizes of the dies by that time. We would also have a little more experience and knowledge of the product and what all is needed to make this cutter work. Please consider this. It would take the disappointment out of this, and I would be so pleased.

Saves time and makes perfect cuts.
I was going to get the Accuquilt with the turning handle instead of the electric unit. My friend has cancer which makes her weak when it comes to hand cutting or turning handles, so I bought this one. It's great, and best for cutting strips. Needless to say, there's some waste but I'm OK with that trade-off. I'm not a strict pattern follower, so just go with the flow, cut fabric, and put together a quilt. My friend is obsessive about following patterns to the letter, and we've learned that you can't buy the yardage listed in a pattern because there is waste -- so she just buys a little more. (She's waiting to see if this cutter will go on sale so she can buy one of her own.) For cutting strips, squares, rectangles, this is the ONLY way. I've tried the triangle die and it's not so great (for me, anyhow). The triangles themselves cut perfectly, but after sewing together for HSTs, the ends are wonky.

UPS the quilting game
This machine is amazing. A little pricey but cuts material exactly as advertised. The dies are expensive but saves so much time cutting out quilt patterns

Wonderful gift for my Mom
I bought this for my 82 year-old Mom who underwent 2 yrs of knee surgeries. She loves quilting, but it's getting difficult for her to cut out so many pieces. There was a less expensive model by another brand, but it looked like it would be a frustrating learning curve just to operate. I love the simplicity of this, and the pattern booklets that help guide her as to which dies make what. I love that it's electric, rather than arm crank, so she won't have to stand up so long. The dies can get pricey, but I'm hoping to gift her one or two per month. She hasn't tried it out yet, but is very excited to use it. I would buy it again in a heartbeat, and will send a pic or video when available. Update - she tried it out and laughed at how easy it is to use.
