Lights super bright and I needed something for my bike rack because the rack directly blocks my taillights on my car. I needed a light strip that was split as the body of the rack wouldn’t allow one continuous strip. Found these puppies and saw the reviews so I thought I’d give them a shot. Had to buy led compatible wiring unit since I had issues trying to get them to work properly. Everything seems to work fine but the one problem is when running lights and brake lights are on, you try to use turn signals and the turn signals don’t work. That’s my only disappointment Edit: after weeks and weeks of trying to get support from the people at Mictuning, they asked to send a video, did that, then they said to disconnect my headlight wiring from my taillight wiring, did that to my best ability, still having issues. I have a second strip for when the rack is in the down position and it works completely fine after rewiring the trailer harness with an LED compatible one. Tried emailing another video after rewiring the trailer wiring and no response they’ve gone completely radio silent on me. Very disappointed. Was hoping to have good news and turn my 4 star into a 5 star review. Not anymore. I will never buy anything from these guys again. Edit: They finally emailed me and told me that they have a technician working on the issue. We’ll what happens with that. If they actually resolve the issue then I will recind my review. Final edit: They sent me a new product that works 100%. Kinda a headache to get it but I am satisfied.

After reading reviews including one that had actual measurements that pertained to my 2017 Toyota Tacoma, I purchased this. I had measured the area below my tailgate and found that it would be close. YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE TAILGATE. You also need to disconnect and push the tailgate side part of this connector through the hole that the connector is mounted on. To fit correctly you need to reverse or remove the mounting bracket on the (towards) fender side of the left labeled piece. This allows the led strip to fit and not cover the spare tire rod access hole. You also need to mount one of the included clips close to the same end where that mounting bracket is. Also drill 2 small holes close above and below to each side of the strip on the black end of the truck side for a tie strap. This adds extra support to hold the strip securely in place. The right side led strip will fit with both clips the way they are mounted on the strip. The picture of the wiring diagram that I added explains the exact location off the 7 blade connector prongs, their function and the correct wire colors and size on the reverse of the connector if you hard wire the unit. Although it took over 5 hours from start to finish, the result was worth the time and energy. It is an amazing unit which has working parking. Bright cascading amber left & right turn signals, 4 way flashers and reverse lights. The bright white reverse lights are illuminated fully across both strips giving a far illumination that is amazing. I recommend this item to anyone looking for a reasonably priced terrific looking bright tailgate light bar for any truck...

Was able to plug straight into my trailer which wiring plug, then had to tap the red wire into the backup light behind the driver side breaklight assembly. Was super fast and easy. I used my own self tapping screws to install and skipped the little brackets the sent with the light strips. Lights will be super bright at night. Can't wait for the sun to go down now so I can see.

I like that this product has a good quality feel to it and it doesn't feel cheap at all. Looks great, has a high end look to it when the lights are on. I installed this on my 2019 GMC Sierra SLT and there are Two things that you should know: 1st- it is a bit thick so it can create an issue with the tailgate hitting when opened, would have liked it to be about half the thickness. Very little room for misplacement. To high, the tailgate hits it. To low and you cant see the bottom row of the LED's. I took my tailgate on and off multiple times to get the placement just right. 2nd- If you have a newer truck as I do, you MUST hardwire it into the tail lights. I was not able to use the hitch wiring because it caused a error message on my dash and the lights did not work properly. This does significantly increase the installation time and requires a bit more knowledge of how to splice wires and determine what wires perform what function. In all, it was worth the work to put this on (so far), now is time to see if it works long term! Final note: The only functional part that I don't particularly like is that it is not in sync with the vehicle tail lights, there is a delay in the functions. Turn signals/hazard flashers, there is a one blink delay between the vehicle light and the turn signal function on the bar. There is about a 1/2 second delay between the vehicle break lights/back up lights and the bar light activating. DEFINITALY NOT A DEAL BREAKER! I saw this in all of the videos that I viewed in my research before buying it, and I still bought it anyway.

I'm writing this because the seller failed to provide this info and no one answered my question about it. Dinensions: Total width of 1 light. 28" Width of LED array 27-3/16" Height 7/8" Depth 33/64". With tape 9/16". 3 rows of LED's. Top Amber sequential turn/hazard. Middle untested and must be the backup. Bottom red tail and probably stop. Could not plug into my factory 4-pin trailer connector on my 2019 Tacoma due to pin spacing inconsistency which is not a big deal because I plan on using the supplied plug and spliceing it in under the truck. Also the one I got was marked on the wire for left and right sides. I will follow up after install. I did the install yesterday. Took a few hours because I took my time to do it right. First impressions the silicon is a little rough at the ends. But these things are bright. The white backup is probably around 6000K and brings new detail to my backup camera. Lights up 30 feet behind the truck. Hit the brakes believe me the car behind the car behind you knows it. Amber turn/hazard no question what your doing. The only question now is durability. Oh I was able to wiggle the non standard size plug into the connector and its a very tight fit. This works perfectly on my 3rd gen Taco sitting right above the bumper just clears the tailgate when open. UPDATE: It's been about a year now since installation and it's working like a champ. No regrets so far. UPDATE: The right turn indicator failed in October 2021. May just be a dirty plug connector, will have to take some time to troubleshoot.

As far as brightness goes, this lightbar set is awesome. I received it on May 6th, and had it professionally installed by a shop on May 24th. As of today, June 16th, half of it's functions are not working. The hazard lights do not initiate the yellow sequential lights. Only the red lights on both sides flash. Left turning signal, both light bars just flash red. Right turning signal? You guessed it, both light bars just flash red. They don't display the proper sequential amber leds at all. Hit the brakes? The light bars do not get brighter like normal. Basically, all these do are turn on and turn white when going in reverse. Don't waste your money. I paid $73+ dollars for this product. I see that they are now selling it for $65. Find something else. I'm willing to update this review if the seller/manufacturer can explain what is going on or make amends. I've looked at all of the connections and as I stated before, it was installed professionally. I have the receipt from the shop and all. There is no reason for this product to not be functioning properly less than a month after it being installed.

Besides the second and a half lag. I love it. The lag has helped me to slow down and take my time turning or changing lanes as soon as I hit the switch I now count in my Head 1 2 it’s on 3 they should see it and move over. It is so bright I almost feel bad for small cars at eye level in the drive thru. I love how bright the reverse is it is definitely an attention grabber so people around you know what you are doing and it’s easier to see the area. I have it mounted using only two self tapping screws it comes with so if I need my spare tire it will be really easy to get to and when I’m done I can reattach it. If you don’t like the running light. Pull out the pin closest to the plastic covered pin but keep it because you can use it again if you change your mind. The way the plug works it will hold the broken pin in place. I would love to try out more of their products.

This is my second one from this company. The first one lasted about 2 years before the LED's starting burning out. Order this one which was twice as much. First, I did not receive the second half of the wiring harness and there was no wiring directions included. Had to go back to the web page for that. When going to install, they do not leave you enough room to use screws (not included) on the end that has the wires coming out. Why they can't lengthen those tabs on the ends by even an 1/8th inch is a mystery. Lights are bright and I really feel having this on my truck makes me a safer traveler. People know when I am changing lanes and turning!

Long term Review. Four years now on the back of my 2016 Tacoma TRD. Still working excellent in all modes, and this truck has spent a fair amount of time offroad in the snow and mud here in BC. Wired into my backup lights and really lights it up behind you when backing up. Would most definitely buy again!!

Item arrived defective and right turn signal did not function. Not impressed

The concept is great and the brightness is great. But the constant trailer error messages are annoying. The messages are ghost messages and I tried to contact the seller to resolve it with no response to my email request. I do like this but might just take them off because of those messages. Old guy I don't know called them sexy.
