Fast, Responsive and a Huge Upgrade
I bought this AMZCHEF 2000W single induction cooker to replace an old portable electric hob that used traditional metal heating elements, and I couldn't be happier with the upgrade. The biggest difference is how quickly it responds to temperature changes. With my old hob, I'd have to wait ages for it to heat up or cool down, which often made cooking more difficult than it needed to be. This induction cooker heats up incredibly quickly, and when you reduce the power, the change is almost instant. It gives you much better control, especially when you're simmering sauces or trying not to overcook food. The controls are straightforward to use, the unit feels well made, and it's surprisingly quiet while in operation. Despite being compact, it has plenty of power for everyday cooking, boiling water quickly and maintaining a consistent temperature throughout.Overall, this has been a fantastic replacement for my old portable hob. It's faster, more energy efficient and much more responsive, making cooking far more enjoyable. If you're still using a traditional portable electric hob, I'd definitely recommend making the switch to induction.

A six star review
Yes, it needs six stars but I'm going to knock one off (Maybe). My first induction ring. Our ceramic hob cracked in the corner and then one morning the crack spread from corner to corner. Panicking that we'd have nothing to cook on - I jumped on Amazon - discovered this hob and ordered it for next day.Hours after it had arrived, we'd been to B&Q found a replacement hob and had it fitted. No more need for the Induction hob then? But as it wasn't expensive and as I enjoy cooking - I really want to try one.Oh how easy is it. Much more like gas than ceramic. Pans of different shapes and sizes work. My large wok and curved saute pan all respond brilliantly. Temperature control is quick and high or low works equally as well. A large pot of water for spaghetti or steaming boils as quickly as a kettle. The wok can get really hot for stir frying chicken and my saute pan can be dropped to a 100w of power to gently simmer. The read out is clear and you can switch between wattage and temperature and when I blinked and my milk boiled over - nothing burnt to the device. Just lift the pan and wipe with a damp cloth, dry and replace pan.The lost star (maybe two). The buttons are way too sensitive. You have to be careful to keep your hands away from the controls as the lightest touch will trigger them. They need a fraction of second delay between touch and activation. Secondly, they need an auto-repeat. Holding the up/down to change wattage does nothing - so you have to tap repeatedly to change. But these are just niggles. This thing is too brilliant not to want one. Plug it into any socket and you can move your hob around the kitchen or be adventurous and plug it in anywhere and free your cooking style. The is something really enjoyable about using this device and I would without question switch to a full size Induction hob over gas, ceramic or campfire any and every day of the week.Oh, and I have no idea who AMZCHEF our but the device seems well made and works well and I've already got my eye on their griddle.

AMZCHEF : Great Induction Hob!
My Samsung ceramic hob died a painful death but I needed a cheap replacement as im a all in one pot wok cooking freak, ie stir fries, stews, soups, curries etc and I'm currently not in a position to pay for an electrician and a decent 4nhibs ceramic replacement. So I bought this to fill thr gap for the time being.Wow, what a buy for under £40. This thing reeks quality. Its so easy to use and cooks like a dream. Even on its lowest setting is enough to cook a breakfast fry up. Really easy to manage and clean afterwards too.Love this, cooks way better than my Samsung hob ever did!

Perfect for the job
I love this hob and have had quite a few over the last 15 years. I’ve never had a gas or traditional electric stovetop, as I’ve always preferred a portable induction hob for the convenience and lower running costs. This is definitely one of my favourites. I particularly like that it has proper physical buttons rather than touch controls, so it doesn’t react accidentally when water or food gets spilled around the controls. The cooling fan also turns off fairly quickly once you’ve finished cooking, rather than droning on for ages. It has a maximum power button and a simmer power button too, which makes it really easy to quickly get the heat where you want it.Overall, I’m very impressed with it and would definitely recommend it.

Just get it.
Love it!We had one of the previous iterations of this double hob and do to my own fault I broke it. I figured I would order the same one again and we both really liked using it.This one is even better. The temperatures are more granular, so you can actually simmer stuff without it burning. The top is no longer slick glass, it's more a matte ceramic. Pans no longer slide around on their own. Much better.Love it, get one.

Does the job
It’s nice and does the job, it’s not as flat as I was expecting, a bit noisy. Only one side reaches upto 1800 the other doesn’t go up beyond 1000
