I received the steamer a week ago, and just tried it for the first time. When I opened the steamer for a first look, I couldn't see any visible scratches or damage on the exterior, and didn't look inside the water tank until just now, when I needed to use it for the first time. When I removed the steamer fill cap, the threaded part, both inside and outside had a white chalky residue that I thought might be hard-water stains. I then shone a flashlight inside the unit, and to my dismay, there is standing water and mold on the inside. I don't know if this unit was used and returned, or if it was inspected and the water wasn't completely removed. I am trying to start a small silversmithing company, and I need this unit now, so I can't wait for another one to arrive and have a gap where I can't clean my jewellery. I do want to exchange it for another, but can't send it back until another one arrives. Because this item was quite pricey for me, and listed as "new", I am very disappointed. What do you suggest?

This product works. You will need to hold on to your jewellery as it does have good pressure. I think this product could be improved...the knob on the top could be replaced with another device. Otherwise it is work the price.
