I am learning to paint Chinoserie and these brushes seem to be nice enought. The point comes to a very fine tip which I like. The barrels are a little small so you wont be able to load a lot of paint into them, but I am still experimenting with this paint style so we will see if they hold up to that.

These are wonderful for detail or fine lines. they make the finest line of all my brushes - and I own A LOT of brushes. Also they hold quite a lot of paint. The hairs are natural and soft. 1 brush is firmer & wider, two fine & 1 extra fine. At the tip it may be only 2 hairs, but they are shaped quite well & hold together nicely. I also was able to do some dry brush very easily with a loaded brush of paint. I would have preferred a bamboo or a traditional Chinese handle, but they are weighted nicely. The barrel is best held with the Chinese style grip which I learned early on through an art book “Chinese painting techniques” by Lian Quan Zhen. Above is a small sample of dry brush & lines made with the paint left after a swatch. The lines went on & on, finer than any pen or nib & easier to draw with!! I hope you can zoom down & see how good the point is! - -Makes me want to paint just looking at them. And for the price, you could wear these brushes out and buy new 10 times in a year and it would still be a bargain. A superb find.

I love love love this set. Holds lots of water and pigment. For fine lines. You have to clean them with warm water and even if a few loose hairs ? After that, they are so good. I always reach for these when painting branches, stems ,florals, trees etc.

Great for my art work but recieved broken.

Love these brushes. And the price. Very happy. They hold water and have a great point. An art teacher recommended them and he wasn’t wrong. And they don’t loose their hair.

These are cheaply made, and they look cheap. The barrels of the ones that were sent me were actually warped.

These seem to be good brushes for detail or even loose work... End the largest of these four had a fine point and can be very useful for thin and medium lines,. The finest of these is also very good.. Some small hair lost during softening the sizing but haven't noticed it again in use.. Good brushes I think.. Will know more on proper usage. Thanks

A set of brushes that gives you perfect lines, every time. I am both a watercolour and acrylic enthusiast! These are the brushes I have been waiting for. I dove in the minute I could and put these brushes through multiple tests. They create soft or hard lines, dependant on your needs. I needed something for those last details on my paintings, and they held up so well. Very little practice needed before FINALLY being able to capture those fine details. They hold a tremendous amount of paint so very little refilling which makes a huge difference when drawing lines or inserting details. I have had zero shedding on the brushes, and I am absolutely thrilled to have found them. 5 stars, my friends, 5 stars.
