I am a year past the physicalvaffair my wife had with the first guy. 3 years past the start of their emotional affair. My wife did not stop all communication, so I had to ask her to leave the house our two children and I are living in. In her guilt and broken state she left, depressed and sure I would never want her back, despite my repeated attempts otherwise, she began a new sexual relationship with a different man. I at this point was sure it was over, until this past february, right after she had switched our separation to divorce, she came back humbly hoping to fulfill the commitments she made to God and I. She is pregnant with the second boys child and this book truly speaks to the range of emotions and pain. Walking through this is not knew and reading this book will give you excellent biblical insight, practical wisdom, and raw emotion. God is good and many of the words God spoke to Cindy were spoken to me through this journey. Be still and know He is God, and be encouraged by fellow believers.

I recently discovered my husbands affair with a woman whom he too claimed was "just a friend" of many years. Painful betrayal doesn't even begin to express the emotions involved in this type of discovery. This book and the testimony shared here was truly an answer to prayer and a phenomenal tool that has given me insight into the true character and heart of forgiveness that can only come from the one who created us, knowing we would be weak and full of sin..... Yet he constantly forgives us. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone going through infidelity. Thank you Cindy for you willingness to share and your humility that will help others heal. Thank you Jesus for allowing me to find this book, for I know it was you who guided me to it during my painful hours of trying to make sense of this in my own understanding, only to be reminded to.... Trust in you with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding.

Cindy discusses all the symptoms of betrayal as it truly is felt and I believe God definitely carried her to redemption however I feel she has described a lot of her sacrifices to save her marriage but it's as though the betrayed partner her husband has made few. Maybe he has she just didn't mention that many from him. I know addiction can be very powerful but if you have to continue making it hard for him not to betray again, doesn't that mean he has not truly felt sorry for what he has done?

This book absolutely helped save my marriage. I read it, along with a book that was a little more instructional, and we're doing great - not perfect, still healing and growing, but great compared to how things could be for sure. This book gave me SO much hope. If Cindy can make it through all of that nonsense, than I can make it through less (but equally devastating) nonsense, right? My husband read it and found it overly wordy - he really, really didn't like Cindy's writing, which I thought was a bummer because I loved it. He's a John Grisham fan, if that tells you anything. :P He DID, however, say that he found the story inspiring and he took a lot of nuggets from it. For example, when he knows I'll be insecure about something, he tries to go out of his way to make sure I'm comfortable. Like, when he has to stay late at work, he'll Facetime me. I'm not sure he would have really understood without seeing the example Cindy's husband gives. Thank you so much for sharing such a vulnerable part of your lives!

The honesty of this couple was amazing! I had even greater respect for the honesty of their church leadership in how they handled this matter when the affair came to light. I do not think I could have handled the affair and a baby the way Mrs. Beall handled it. I have never been married and I have no kids so reading a book on how a couple healing their marriage after an affair may seem odd, but as a Christian who is doing a lot of "hiding my shame," this was a good wake up call to lead an honest life and start to confess my sins to somebody else and receive healing. I am a woman and while I do not have a huge "video" pornography problem, I am having serious struggles with erotic novels. These novels are a woman's version of pornography!!! So this book has been an eye opening instruction manual to deal with my issues. Thank you.

Cindy, what an amazing real life story of how GOD can take a broken and wounded relationship and rebuild it to something more beautiful and blessed than a person could imagine. This is a must read for anyone that needs encouragement that shelter can be found under the wings of our Almighty GOD. Like Cindy says in her book, trust is not broken only through infidelity, it can be broken through many addictive behaviors, such as alcoholism, drugs and many others. In any and many circumstances, it takes courage and a willingness to do whatever it takes to work through a broken relationship beyond infidelity, alcoholism and drugs, etc. It is my prayer that those that read this book find inner peace and trust in GOD. I know I have and now believe that God has my back in my relationship with my spouse. Blessings!

What I appreciated most about this book was Cindy's honesty. She is very real about her feelings. What she has had to endure is unimaginable but how she expresses the love of God through it all is truly remarkable. I felt like if God can use Cindy like he did, then if I let Go and give my situation over to him he must be able to use me too.

When I read this book I felt like I was reading my own thoughts. It was so encouraging to finally feel that I was not alone in this. Cindy validated every emotion I felt and turned me around and pointed me to lean on God. She has been given a great gift from God to reach out and connect with people. I am so grateful she shared her story with the world for the good of everyone else struggling in it.

Worth the read. Incredible! Cindy is honest, funny, and share her experience. She shows you the path she took and how God redeemed her story.

Easy read with so much for reflexion! I would highly recommend this to people going through challenges in their marriages related to trust or those mentoring/counseling couples who are struggling with infidelity and mistrust.
