A Game Changer for My Daily Bowel Movements โ Psyllium Husk is a Lifesaver!
As someone who has long struggled with constipation, I canโt emphasize enough how much Psyllium Husk has improved my digestive health and overall well-being. Iโve tried various fiber supplements over the years, but none have worked as effectively and consistently as this one. From the very first time I used it, I noticed a significant difference in my bowel movements. Psyllium Husk is a soluble fiber that absorbs water, which helps to soften stool and promote smoother, more regular bowel movements. I started using it as a daily supplement, mixing it with water in the morning, and Iโve noticed that my digestive system feels so much more in sync. What I love most about this product is how easy it is to incorporate into my routineโjust mix two tablespoons into a glass of 8 oz water, stir, and drink it down. Itโs simple, effective, and doesnโt require a lot of effort on my part. The results have been remarkable. Iโve noticed that Iโm no longer feeling constipated, and my bowel movements are now regular and much more comfortable. I also feel less bloated which is a big bonus. Since taking Psyllium Husk, Iโve been able to maintain a healthy gut and feel more balanced overall.I also love that this product has a very neutral taste, which makes it easy to add to smoothies or shakes if I prefer a change from just water. Whether I take it plain or mix it in with something else, it works great every time.If you struggle with constipation or want to improve your digestive health, I highly recommend giving Psyllium Husk a try. Itโs become an essential part of my daily routine, and I canโt imagine going without it.Pros:Promotes regular bowel movements without discomfortAll-natural, non-GMO, and gluten-freeEasy to incorporate into any routineGentle on the digestive systemImproves overall digestive healthCons:Requires a good amount of water to avoid any discomfort, so donโt forget to drink plenty!Overall, Iโm extremely happy with this purchase, and itโs made a huge difference in my life. I feel so much more confident about my digestive health, and I truly believe that Psyllium Husk is an essential part of my wellness journey.

Iโve been using NOW Foods Whole Psyllium Husks for a few weeks, and itโs become part of my daily routine. It mixes thick and slightly grainy, but thatโs typical for psyllium huskโjust stir and drink quickly. Iโve noticed better digestion, improved regularity, and it helps keep me fuller between meals. The mild taste makes it easy to add to smoothies or juice, and the large container is a great value. Overall, a reliable and effective fiber supplement Iโd definitely recommend. But do your research so that you are taking it at times not to impact medications.

Not for the uninitiated. Definitely professional grade.
Are you new to drinking fiber? Do you stick to the types that dissolve into nothing, or take psyllium capsules to avoid the experience altogether? Well, this product will likely prove too advanced for your sensibilities. This is for real men and women who understand that the ends justify the means in the fiber world. Not sure into which category you fall? Continue reading. So, like many folks in fiberdom, I've typically used Metamucil in the past. Having completely gone through my stockpile of the orange-flavored sugar-free stuff, I decided to go back to what Metamucil refers to as the unflavored "coarse texture", which is what I used to take years ago. While not as easy to drink, it was a true power house, if you know what I mean. In looking for it this time, though, I noticed it has added sugar. Really? I don't know why they feel the need to sweeten something unflavored, especially when psyllium isn't bitter. Well, not wanting the unnecessary empty carbs, I decided to try something altogether new. Hence, I looked at all the whole husk psyllium options and settled on Now, given both the reviews and my positive history with the brand. To go back a little further, I started taking fiber over 20 years ago when I was working out all the time and eating on a high-protein diet. Needless to say, fiber made my time in the bathroom much more pleasant. It was then I quickly learned that dosing a 12oz glass of water and taking your time to stir it well led to something that I really didn't want to drink. You basically get a glass of swelled, nearly-flavorless sludge that you have to chug down. It didn't take long before I put a double dose into a rocks glass, stirred just enough to integrate, chugged immediately, and chased with plenty of water. (This method, while much less painless, is apparently not recommended due to it being a "choking hazard". Don't really see how you could choke, but to each their own.)Having said all that, my first experience with the Now whole-husk was fairly close to what I remembered from Metamucil's original unflavored coarse texture. I put a heaping tablespoon into a rocks glass and stirred quickly. It clumped a bit at first, almost like the stuff was hydrophobic. It ingrated quickly enough, though, and I tossed it back immediately. Yeah, I remember this taste. It has that kind of nondescript, bland cereal thing going on. While scoring quite low on the yummy-meter, it's not necessarily unpleasant, either. I then chased it with a big glass of water, swishing well to get the grit out of my teeth, refilled the glass, and left it in the sink. (Pro tip: Any "grit" left in an empty glass will dry and stick like little bits of concrete. I let the glass sit with water in it allowing any remaining fiber bits to swell, and then go back to wash it after.)Ok, at this point I've taken my first dose, so the only thing to do now is wait. Like I said at the begining, when it comes to fiber, the ends justify the means. For those that don't know, the "ends" I'm referring to is an oddly satisfying, quite large, and very clean poop. (If you know, you know.) Well, fast-forward to the next morning, and I'm eventually greeted by that all-too-familar "oh damn, it's that time" feeling. (Know what I mean, Vern?) So I sit down, give one long, relatively easy push, and viola. Done. The monster I left behind me was not angry. It had no teeth. It was simply a very polite gentle giant that was more than happy to incorporate all the rowdy characters in my bowels and exit the party with them in a very considerate manner. Such a gentleman. For those of you who have never taken "coarse" or whole-husk psyllium, it is far more effective then the fine-textured stuff. Is it a little less fun to take? Perhaps. Is the experience worth it, though? Oh yes, my friend. If you're not sure, go ahead and give it a shot anyway. A pound of this stuff is very reasonably priced, and it's well worth trying out. If you're an old pro like me, this is a no-brainer. Happy gut, happy butt. What more could you ask for in such a fiercely fearless fibrous friend? Not much as far as I'm concerned. We're biffles for sure, and if this were the days of MySpace, he'd definitely be in my Top 8.***Oh, and if you are new to fiber, make sure you do your research on how it can impede the effectiveness of supplements and medications, if taken too close together. I usually take my vitamins and evening medications immediately before or after dinner, and then I take fiber right before bed. If I'm watching my weight, I'll sometimes take fiber before dinner, in which case I wait until I go to bed to take my vitamins and meds. If you're just just taking a few psyllium caps, this isn't an issue. If you're taking a full dose of whole-husk/powdered and mixing it with water, though, you need to keep tining in mind.

Excellent Psyllium Husks That Really Work
If you're looking for a simple and effective way to boost your fiber intake, this NOW Foods Whole Psyllium Husks product is an excellent choice. The quality is top-notch, and it's highly effective for anyone needing to increase their daily fiber, especially to help with constipation. Unlike other products, this one is gentle on the stomach and doesn't cause cramps, as long as you start with a small amount and gradually increase it.Mixing and TasteMixing it is simple. The husks have a light, natural tan color, which shows that the product is pure and free from any artificial dyes. I find that 1 tablespoon per 12 oz glass of water is the perfect ratio for a smooth, drinkable texture. Any more psyllium, and it gets too thick for my liking. While the taste is relatively neutral, the key to making it pleasant is to use enough water. I always mix it and let it sit for a couple of minutes to let the husks fully hydrate. This simple step makes a big difference.A Must-Have for TravelersI especially appreciate that it comes in a bag. At home, I transfer it to an airtight container, but the bag is incredibly convenient for travel. It doesn't take up much space or add bulk to my luggage, which is a huge bonus compared to bulky plastic bottles. As someone who travels often, I always pack this. It's a lifesaver for the digestive discomfort that can come from eating different foods or even fast food on the road.Crucial Health Tip: Drink Plenty of Water! This is the most important part: you must drink enough water. Psyllium is a soluble fiber that absorbs water and forms a gel, so it needs plenty of fluids to move through your digestive system smoothly. My doctor recommended drinking one full glass of water with the psyllium, and then another full glass right after. This helps prevent dehydration and potential intestinal obstruction.OverallThis is a fantastic product that offers excellent quality and is a great value for the price. It's effective, easy to use, and incredibly convenient for my lifestyle. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable fiber supplement.

Great buy!
Pretty good and cost effective. Organic and easy to take with water and milk. Would recommend, definitely in budget based other alternatives Ive seen on Amazon. No specific taste when you swallow. Texture is just like any other you will get from market. Pretty effective for gut health.

I'm much healthier-
This stuff is great. Last year I got sick twice where I was in tons of pain. I was stopped up. I went to the bathroom once a day, but didn't realize I needed to go more. The first time I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital. I went to a clinic, and my stomach was in so much pain. I was thinking kidneys, maybe a gall stone, or something along those lines. They took X-rays, and said I was lucky it was nothing major. At least not yet. I was just stopped up. They told me to try a laxative, and fortunately that worked. It worked for awhile I should say. The thing with a laxative is ya have to be near a toilet. So ya really can't go anywhere. Hence I stopped using it.Then I got sick again. Similar to the first time, but this time the laxative didn't work. The doctor suggested this. This took a few days to kick in, but once it did it was great.I started going to the bathroom 5-6 times a day. That's a good thing in that it's cleaning all the manure out of your system. Then as time goes on, I dropped to going 2-4 times a day.The nice thing about this is that when ya have to go, it's not a sudden thing where ya need to run to the bathroom. It's a lot slower process. So if you're out somewhere, ya realize ya have an hour or two.

Odd to drink...BUT WORKS!
Hi All, I love this stuff, as it can fix a mixed up stomach. I found myself making an unscheduled stop in the hospital forabout a week, and my diet got all screwed up, which left me with a bowel that developed a bit of pain when I needed relief. I went to my cabinet for Psyllium and was almost out of it. I ordered this latest batch and prayed it would solve the pain I had never had pain before, and after only three days, I felt the pain lessening. At about 8/10 days the pain was fully gone and elimination was back to normal. Whoo, dodged a bullet. This stuff is amazing. Get some today. Mixes with only water, and mixed best with the shower sprayer at the sink. If it seems too thick, just reduce it with more water. Beware, if you let it sit too long before drinking it down, it will thicken-up in the glass. Therefore, drink it down without delay. Its jelly-smooth texture is the way it stays in your gut, and it will move along with slickery to help ease out the poo. Not a pleasant subject, but you can get pleasant results and fix your bowel. I take mine about an hour before going to bed, and it seems to help move me each morning. You'll find the best time for you in no time. Good luck my friend, it will be worth it.

Unbelievable how well it worked
As a vegetarian since '94, I really thought fiber supplements were bogus. My diet has all the fiber, but menopause does weird things to the body. Wow. One week of taking 2 tsp (less than the daily dose because I was scared and needed to test it before going full serving), and I am sold on this daily ritual. I've never taken another brand, but don't feel the need to. I think I hit the jackpot on my first try. Very happy with my purchase and the changes it's made on my insides. It's as if the effects of the life change on my other systems just reversed overnight (or within a couple of days, but almost overnight). So grateful! Only complaint is over waiting this long to try it.
