I looked on the device and it does not show. It is a good tape.

Does this tape measure have an auto lock feature? Or do you have to constantly engage the lock to have it hold?

You have to lock it in , but a great tape measure, 2 sided is wonderful, and the extra large numbers come in real handy

I'm between this and the gen ii stud magnetic. which one? button brake (klein) or natural finger brake (milwaukee) better?

My experience is that several Milwaukee tape measures are off 1/16" or more at greater than 8-9 feet. Found this out while working with a temporary worker with a Milwaukee tape and all his cuts were off, while everyone else on the crew with Stanley/Dewalt/Craftsman tapes had no problems (and I tested against several Hilti/Leica/Bosch laser meters to verify their accuracy). I think the Klein blades are Stanley so they should be similarly accurate. The discrepancy could be from converting from metric in Chinese factories (Milwaukee) where US factories and companies are working with their native measurement units.

Not much to dislike about this product. Does what it’s supposed to do and the magnet is pretty strong capable of holding the weight of the tape measure itself if you attach it to the ceiling on any metal.

I decided to try the Klein '25 magnetic tape measure to replace my Milwaukee '25 magnetic tape measure. The Milwaukee was still working, but was very flimsy and quite frustrating. The Klein is far superior. Wider, stiffer, simply better all around. Also cheaper. I'll buy again.
