Honey Dew Me Up Primer Face Makeup

Get the original version. There's 2 versions and the new one is vegan and I'm going to assume it doesn't have propolis in it. Propolis an ingredient derived from animal (bees) by-product. It's so good for my skin personally. It's very calming and moisturizing. I love the scent It's barely there and just fresh clean and healthy. This stuff Aries a wee bit stringy and messy but my God is it worth it. If you get a little on your hands or other skin, just rub it in. This makes me makeup apply just beautifully. I prefer gel based products because I love that glide feeling. I only have 1 gel based foundation (Chantecaille future skin) and it's so expensive I hate to think that I'm using so much. With this as a base I use less and it goes so much further. My skin is dewey and glowy, just tacky enough for makeup to stick but it doesn't feel like I have a layer of oil on my skin either. I just love this stuff. I'm terrified that they're going to sell out of the old formula so I keep buying bottles whenever I get the chance. I hope Nyx at some point realizes that if they have a good thing they don't have to give in the market pressure of " vegan" or "clean" beauty. Not everyone feels the need to have all vegan products. Anyway, this stuff is liquid gold for me. I very very rarely wear glam makeup, if at all anymore. It's mostly just everyday work makeup looks now. But that's when this stuff is at its best. It's not like their marshmallow pore filling primer. It's a hydrating primer, so for lighter coverage foundations or skin tints, this stuff is the bee's knees. (Get it? ... cuz "honey") If you have dry skin or dehydrated skin, winter skin, if you're like me and are prescribed trentinoin or are on acne medication, this may help a lot. I know that for myself it doesn't break me out whatsoever. I'm very very very very happy to have to only this primer for the rest of my life. I'll buy ALL the OG formula bottles if that's what I need to.

I am in love with this primer! I have been buying it for months, just found it on Amazon and upped the convenience factor. This primer feels weird and kinda sticky when you put it on, and the applicator is not my favorite. Once it has dried, though, it leaves skin feeling firmer with pores more closed. Skin also has a dewy appearance. I sometimes apply this after moisturizing and go without makeup because I like the smooth, dewy look. It does have little gold flecks in it which are sometimes noticeable. If I am doing simple eyemakup I don't need any eyelid primer if I have applied this first. My eye makeup will stay all day or night, and it typically does not smear or blur. If I am going with something more complex I will apply an eyemakup primer to the eye area after the Honey, Dew Me Up to add staying power. This NYX primer also helps keep my concealer & powder foundation from setting in eye creases. I get a smoother overall look there.

My skintype is very dry and mildly acne prone. This is honestly a nice little primer. Though I do enjoy it I do not think I'd ever repurchase at full price (in my opinion it's priced a bit high). On sale, however, it is worth getting. I enjoy the texture, the feel, the finish on my skin. There is a fragrance, so if you're sensitive to that you may want to avoid. It smells floral, not really honey-like to my own nose. The main cons are the packaging- the spatula is messy and unhygienic, I would not advise anyone to rub the spatula directly on their skin, the gold flecks.... they serve no real purpose and I think I'd like this more without their inclusion. Other than that I like the ingredients in this and I really like how it performs. Also if you find you like this for it's dewy finish, you may also like NYX's other offering the Bare With Me Jelly Primer: the packaging is also terrible, it has a different jelly-like texture, but it's a fabulous product that gives me a really fresh faced dewy glow when I use it.

I was really excited to try this and it's a great dupe for Guerlain L'Or Pure Radiance Face Primer or YSL Touché Eclat Primer. These all have gold flakes that lets your skin look and feel amazing at the same time. This also blurs fine lines and imperfections. It is a little sticky at first, but immediately goes away. I also like the applicator tip because it's hard to get every last drop with the pumps. I've been using this primer for a little less than a year along with other brands. I have combination skin, my pores get clogged very easily, I can have breakouts or extremely dry skin. I'm loving this primer, it has become a favorite and doesn't bother my skin at all. It is a very small bottle, I attached a photo next to a dry beauty blender. (Sorry, It wouldn't rotate the picture). I do suggest buying this at ulta, sephora or the drugstore, it's much cheaper especially if you use coupons. I was overexcited and do not live close to any places that carry the product.

My favorite! The smell is to die for, it smells so good. Can be applied before or after foundation, or mixed with foundation (I prefer after foundation) and really gives your skin a dewy, fresh look. I was worried the gold flecks would come off as glitter on my face, but not at all! HOWEVER, arrived in loose packaging, and slightly damaged. The lid was not secured properly, and some product had spilled. Admittedly, it wasn't that bad, and I was still able to get plenty of use from the product. However, I will likely not order again. To sum it up, the product itself was fine, and it arrived on time, but insecure packaging caused damages. It also leaked on my other product in the package, which was minor, but depending on what else is in your package could've been a big deal!

Some reviewers are saying this is fake because the lid is black but it’s the real deal! NYX just changed it up the design. The black lid is the newest design. I saw it in stores with the black lid and the sales associate confirmed it. Anyways, on to my review... I am usually really picky with my primer and how it makes my skin look and feel. This primer does not feel sticky to me like other reviews have said. It feels like a glossy serum when you first apply, but it dries almost instantly leaving behind no residue. My makeup goes on like a dream and i can definitely tell a difference in how long it lasts. I usually have to use powder through the day to refresh my face, but not when I use this primer. I’m almost out and ordering again now! This will be my go to primer from here on out!

PSA PEOPLE NYX CHANGED THEIR PACKAGING TO REFLECT THEIR NEW NAME. YOU DID NOT GET A FAKE. Very nice primer. It's light like a serum but has a little bit of stickiness to hold the foundation. It adds a little bit of moisture and definitely doesn't dry out the skin. I like using this to make my very matte, heavy foundation feel more comfortable. Also works great during the summer. Doesn't control oil but can still work for oily skin by not causing any dryness or irritation. FYI it does smell a little antiseptic in the jar but dries down with no smell whatsoever. It is somewhat the consistency of honey so it does drip from the spatula and is a little messy to apply especially when the bottle is full!

It claims to have all these wonderful attributes that I was looking forward to, but I am not noticing them. I have dry-ish skin, I have non acne rosacea (redness), I have I aging skin, I guess (I am mid 40s)... all the things that the product description says it addresses. It seems to have some great ingredients so I don't know why I am not feeling or seeing noticeable benefit. I certainly don't see an evening out of my redness, nor added hydration. It comes out of the bottle in a stringy mess. It goes on easily enough- it isn't tacky or sticky.. but it doesn't seem to lend to a hydrated feel. I have tried using a little, I have tried using A LOT. I have tried it alone, I have tried it under make up.. and I just don't see ANYTHING different. I don't even look more "luminous" nor dewy. Even if some of the benefits were to take awhile to see, I should expect it to lend to a luminous look with the first use, and to also work well as a primer. I just don't see it. I am glad it I got it when it was around the $8 mark, because it is back up to $16+ I normally like NYX, and this is a sad fail for me. I WILL use it up.. so if for some reason it suddenly works I'll come back to say so. In the meantime, I feel like I am out $8 :(

Premetto che non sono un'esperta di make-up, ho trovato il prodotto molto gradevole per consistenza e fragranza, è idratante e mi piace come lascia la pelle. Non noto effetto glitter dopo l'applicazione ed effettivamente attenua un po' il rossore. Consigliato.

Vraiment pas mal comme produit, une bonne base, donne bonne mine... Attention toute fois peut brûler sur les cicatrices du visage... Mais globalement satisfaite même si je trouve le prix un peu élever

I thought this might be helpful in killing that dry to oily look you get with makeup. But holy Hannah! My fave felt baby soft and I looked like I just had a bunch of so treatments. To boot, my face felt baby soft the day after.

Buen producto, nada pringoso y además tiene buen aroma. Es uno de los mejores que he tenido, siempre me gusta comprar marcas cómo estás porque dan buenos resultados calidad precio. Dura bastante!! con un poco para toda la piel de la cara es suficiente.
