What could cause my rice to boil over? I measured one cup rice to two cups water

Hello, When over boiling, burning of the rice, over cooking, or under cooking occurs it is due to excess water being added as well as excess starch on the rice. In this case it has to do with the ratios being. We recommend to rinse the rice in the inner pot approximately 3-5 times or until the water runs clear, then drain the water and fill the water to the water line matching the number of cups of rice being cooked. Always make sure that you are adding the rice in first and then the water to the inner pot, and also when using the measuring cup provided that you are filling it up to the top/brim of the cup for 1 cup.
