MacFarms Dry Roasted Macadamia Nuts With Sea Salt Fresh From Hawaii 24 Ounce

Fresh and good tasting! Arrived in good condition. Mostly whole nuts, not just bits and pieces like you often get.

This is my fifth time purchasing this brand of macadamia nuts, and they’ve been consistently excellent. They always arrive fresh, crisp, and rich in flavor — never stale or rubbery like I’ve had from other brands. The texture is exactly what you want in a good macadamia: buttery but with a satisfying crunch. I also appreciate the consistent quality from bag to bag, which is why I keep coming back. I even like to give them as a gift — macadamias feel a little special, and they’re a healthy nut option that people always appreciate.

For some years, I have daily eaten a self-made nut & fruit mixture, which includes a palmful of Macadamia in each serving. My usual Mac.. brand became unavailable, and MacFarms came up in a search, so I tried it. The difference was immediately noticeable, but afterward, I went on to try other brands. After a couple, I ordered another bag of MacFarms. This review comes after the second bag, and I can say that they are consistently 5-Star across two bags. Its not 100% whole nuts, but a fairly high percentage, and they are consistently light in color, consistently tasty and consistent in texture, and fit very well with my mix. I can't recall one time where I had that "uuumhh?" taste from a half or whole nut in either bag. While this bag is more expensive that my usual, it certainly seems worthwhile. I am making MacFarms my regular order, and, will buy again and again!!!

What a difference! I compared the taste of the Hawaiian MacFarms macadamias with the Costco (randomly grown worldwide) nuts. The MacFarms nuts were eyes-rolling-back absolutely positively delicious. The other nuts? Bleh with a comparatively “off” and unpleasant aftertaste. I will be ordering MacFarms and their Hawaiian macadamia nuts again and again.

I've been on a quest to find some amazing macadamia nuts at a reasonable price, since they are my go to snack. My friend was visiting her brother in Hawaii and upon his recommendation, he had her bring me back a huge shipment of Mauna Loa macs....ohhhhh sooo good, but very expensive. So, I decided to try a few more reasonably price brands. Here's how they all ranked. 1) Mauna Loas are hands down without a doubt my favorites. Soft and buttery...sooooooo goooood!!!!! 2) Royal Hawaiian Orchards had me thinking I found the perfect Mauna Loa replacement in a 24oz bag. I ordered these twice and every nut in the bag was perfect. Unfortunately, they are no longer available, so there goes that! 3) MacFarms falls in the #3 spot. They are good, but not buttery good like ML or RHO. Can't beat the price:quality ratio though. The major problem I have with this brand is nut consistency. I will get a bag where everything nut is perfect, then another bag where a few are rancid, and another where a lot are rancid (but not enough to quit the bag). As of now this is my go to brand 4) In last place and well earned is Presto Macadamia nuts. They should stamp a disclaimer on the bag warning "what you are about to eat may be disturbing!" I will spare you the details, let's just say worst mac experience in my life and they were in they trash and Amazon had refunded my money (Thanks Amazon!) within 15min after opening the bag. These things are not meant for consumption. With all that said, I am happy to continue to order MacFarms, but will jump ship if ML goes on sale or RHO ever becomes available again (it's been 3 months).
